I haven't watched a lot of movies lately, so did a little catching up last night.
Defiance - Pretty good movie. I like the fact that wasn't your typical Jew surviving the holocaust situation. It was unique and better yet, it was based on a true story.
Slumdog Millionaire - Can you say overrated? All I've heard is good things from this movie and how there is such a good twist in it.. Um, what? This movie was above average at best. Nothing amazing. Just a decent film.

Just saw Pelham movie and it was great. Nice to see Travolta as a crazy mofo again as opposed to his roles in movies such as Wild Hogs.

I thought slumdog was pretty damn good. the prestige is sick Ehh, It wasn't bad, but I thought it was gonna be the cheat after hearing only good things about it. I guess my expectations were higher than what the movie ended up being. |

Yeah I saw Slumdog recently too and actually thought it was a damn good film. Great story and great performances from a pretty much unknown cast. I'm not surprised it won all the awards that it did to be honest. I also saw Benjamin Button like the day after seeing Slumdog and thought that was another excellent movie, but it went on for too damn long. I found the time spent on the earlier part of his life went on too long then the latter part of his life was kinda rushed. As for The Prestige - that film is sick. I loved it. I saw it on the same day as The Illusionist and that was also sick... although now I've kinda blurred the two movies together  I highly recommend both films to those who haven't seen them! |
