Newly drafted Orlando Magic guard, Anthony Parker, has announced today that he will be playing overseas for a few years before entering UOSLR.
"I've been contacted by several European clubs about playing basketball for them," Parker told reporters earlier today, "I have decided to sign with Maccabi Tel Aviv."
Parker had a stipulation upon entering the draft that he would reserve the right to play overseas; however, the team that selected him, in this case the Orlando Magic, will retain his draft rights and if/when Parker decides to return to UOSLR, he will be playing for the Magic.
"I hope my time overseas will better prepare me to be a great player in UOSLR someday, but for now, I have to focus on improving and helping to lead my new club to victory," Parker concluded.
Anthony Parker was selected with the 22nd pick in the First Round.
