1. Toronto Raptors - Carlos Boozer PF 6'9'' 260 19 B C C- C+ B- A
Strengths: His strength, is his strength. Boozer has good strength for someone coming out of college. Very skilled inside scorer. Simply does his work on the block, nothing fancy. Boozer could become a #1 scoring option in the UOSLR at some point. His work ethic has been questioned in the past.
Weaknesses: Not as good of a defender or a rebounder as he should be. Has defensive lapses. At only 6'9", some question his ability to effective play against other PFs.
2. Detroit Pistons - Tony Parker PG 6'2'' 177 19 B+ C C+ C+ D A
Strengths: Tony Parker is a consumate floor leader. He takes care of the ball and consistently looks for open teammates. He is an excellent penetrator which is a good mix given with his court vision.
Weakness: While Parker is one of the best at scoring, there are times when he scores too often. His mid range jumpshot was decent in Europe but will have to improve for the UOSLR. He shoots better when his momentum is pushing him foward than when he is standing still. A big concern will be his 3 pt shooting.
3. Golden State Warriors - Tyson Chandler PF 7'1'' 220 18 C+ C- C- B+ C+ A
Strengths: The best shot blocker in this draft, by far. Unless a young, Chandler could lead the league in that category shortly. Otherwise on defense, he is still a decent man defender. On offense, Chandler is very talented around the basket off rebounds, and also quite athletic for a big man.
Weakness: Chandler will need some work on the offensive end, and really has no range at all. He wont be called upon to score often.
4. Atlanta Hawks - Dajuan Wagner SG 6'3'' 200 18 B- B- C+ C+ C- A
Strengths: Great overall scorer out of the SG position. Very strong for a SG. A good athlete with explosiveness. Very good at breaking down his defender in one-on-one situations. Will be best suited next to either a passing SG or a true PG.
Weaknesses: Doesn't even know how to spell defense let alone play it. Could be more of a combo guard. Can sometimes take shots outside of the flow of the game. Tends to dominate the ball, which when his shot isn't dropping, devastates his team.
5. Atlanta Hawks - Joe Johnson SF 6'8'' 225 20 C+ B C+ C C A
Strengths: Johnson is one of the quickest players in this class and this makes him a great slasher. He is a very good ball handler, since he was forced to play some of the point during his earlier years. Johnson will not step in and be a go to guy, but he has the work ethic and the ability to become a great scorer in this league for many years.
Weaknesses: Will most likely have to improve on defense but that shouldn't be a concern.
6. Washington Bullets - Jason Richardson SG 6'6'' 220 20 B C+ C C+ C A
Strengths: Jason Richardson is simply an athletic freak. Once he gets in that lane you better watch out because he is ready to jump over you or posterize you with a thunderous dunk. His vertical is simply insane. J-Rich has a decent midrange game and occasionally hit the 3.
Weaknesses: Richardson definitely needs to work on his long range shooting if he wants to be a threat in this league. Right now he depends more on his vertical than anything else. He has nice form on his shot so its a matter of consistency. JRich also can use some work on his defense. His lateral movement is decent and he just needs to stay in front of his man more. He could also use some improvement in the weight room.
7. Miami Heat - Gerald Wallace SF 6'7'' 215 19 B- C C- B+ C A
Strengths: Wallace could be the impact player no one knows about. He will turn out to be a solid pro in my opinion. He has a great slashing game, and should be able to develop a shot eventually, as he is a streaky shooter right now. He is also an above average defender.
Weakness: Wallace will play more of a SF role, that said, he will probably need to work on his rebounding. He could play some SG as well, so he would need to work on his shooting.
8. San Antonio Spurs - Mo Williams PG 6'2'' 185 18 C B+ C+ C D+ A
Strengths: Second best PG in this Draft, good handles and defense out of this class. Very good slasher. A team player and true leader. Very quick with and without the ball. Has the ability to make difficult passes look easy.
Weaknesses: Needs to become a more consistent player. Can sometimes try to press things too much and forget about his teammates. Gets to the free throw line a good number of times, but must improve his percent from there.
9. Miami Heat - Samuel Dalembert C 6'11'' 232 20 C C- D- A- C+ B
Strengths: Very young and has loads potential. Can already defend fairly well, and will probably go on to win many All-Defensive Team awards. Also, he's already a great rebounder and shot-blocker. Only has room for improvement.
Cons: Free throws... They will only get better though. He could also work on his rebounding a bit, as he is huge for his position and should definitely be getting more boards. He needs a lot of work on his jump shots too, but his good inside scoring makes up for it, making it less of a need but more of an 'option.'
Strengths: His strength, is his strength. Boozer has good strength for someone coming out of college. Very skilled inside scorer. Simply does his work on the block, nothing fancy. Boozer could become a #1 scoring option in the UOSLR at some point. His work ethic has been questioned in the past.
