Warriors
10. Golden State Warriors - John Salmons SG 6'7'' 210 22 B- B- C+ C+ C B
22. Golden State Warriors-Federico Kammerichs SF 6'9'' 225 22 B- C+ C- C+ C+ B
(2nd)9. Golden State Warriors-Dan Gadzuric C 6'11'' 240 24 C D+ C- B C+ B
The Warriors reached a little for Saalmons but he should be a guy to complement the movement in the Bay Area. Gilber, Salmons, and Chandler is a very fine looking core of youth. They then added Kammerichs in the late half of the first and its a solid pick that late. They could have gotten a guy who is more ready to play but this pick is a risk/reward pick that could be nothing or could be the next Gerald Honeycutt if he has a good TC. Dan Gadzuric is another solid pick in the 2nd round. He's a guy who should play good defense and get a few boards when he's filling in for the bird man and Chandler.

Clippers
1. Los Angeles Clippers - Yao Ming C 7'6'' 295 21 B C C- B B A
(2nd)17. Los Angeles Clippers-Jason Jennings C 7'0'' 250 23 C+ C D B C+ C
The Clippers hit the lotto gods with enough praise and they got Crazymike the overall number one pick and he selected Yao Ming. He already has Kwame Brown the latest high school player to go pro. Brown hasn't been stellar at Clipper land and with Ming in LA now it appears the Clipper GM is shopping Brown. Ming will help the franchise rebuild and should be a player who gets 15/10 his first year, if not more. Jennings is a scrub and won't do anything in Clipper land unless he has a huge TC.

3. Los Angeles Lakers - Pau Gasol PF 7'0'' 227 22 B C C B- C+ A
17. Los Angeles Lakers-Jiri Welsch SG 6'7'' 208 22 C B+ C C+ D+ A
(2nd)4. Los Angeles Lakers-Jared Jeffries SF 6'10'' 215 20 C+ C+ C- B- C+ C
This was an interesting pick for the Lakers. They need a point guard bad and there was a guy named Jay Williams who has a chance to be very good. Instead they picked Gasol with the 3rd pick in the draft. They already have Troy Murhpey, Desagane Diop, and Zach Randolph so there will be a big log jam now at PF and C. With their 2nd first round pick they chose Jiri Welsch who is a great pick at that spot but you have to wonder what this team would be like with a PG. Jefferies is another risk/reward pick in the 2nd round who could turn out to be a very good player.

Suns
(2nd)10. Phoenix Suns-Chris Wilcox PF 6'10'' 221 19 B- C- D C+ C+ B
via list
The suns didn't have their first round pick and were left with just the 10th pick in the second round. There they got Chris Wilcox who is a solid young prospect that could turn into something solid down the road. With Lamar Odom, Eddy Curry, Rashard Lewis, and Maurice Taylor the Suns can ease Wilcox along.

(2nd)21. Sacramento Kings-Melvin Ely PF 6'10'' 260 24 B- C D+ B- B- C
The kings selected Juan Dixon in the late 1st round and he's a guy who at that area in the draft is a great pick. Dixon can play SG and PG and will give the Kings options come the regular season. With a rotation of Kidd, Carter, and Dixon they have a solid backcourt. Ely is a shot blocking defender but outside of that he won't be much for the Kings. Thankfully that is what exactly the kings need with Dirk and Kemp still holding the big man spots down.
Grade: B+
Sonics
23. Seattle Supersonics-Fred Jones SG 6'4'' 210 23 B C+ C B- C B
The sonics grabbed Fred Jones out of the NW and it should be interesting to see if the Sonic fans root for the ex-Duck. Jones is a leaper and with this spot in the draft there really wasnt many options for the GM and they picked just the best player left. Jones could become a very solid role player and if he develops some defense he could even a starter down the road.

(2nd)22. Dallas Mavericks-Curtis Borchardt C 7'0'' 240 21 C C C- B- B+ C
Slay is a great risk/reward pick and for a team with no first they are ok taking that type of selection. The Mavs need to find some talent on the wings and they got a guy who could develop into one. If they wanted to go with a guy who could produce right away Kareem Rush was there but they went with potential and the right move. They got a big smart guy in Borchardt but that is all he is.

(2nd)19. Denver Nuggets-Marcus Haislip PF 6'10'' 230 21 C C+ D+ C+ C C
The Nuggets were the most active team in the draft this year and for good reason. This was the first year the Nuggets actually held a draft pick of their own let alone two in the 1st round in years. They took Tayshaun Prince with #6 and people said Jay Williams was the better pick. They then selected Caron Butler with #8 and people became confused. The Nuggets needed defense and bigs. They solved some major defensive issues with both Butler and Prince. They also got David Anderson and Jamal Sampson who could become solid role players at the forward spots. Kareem Rush is an instant scorer off the bench and if he develops defense could be a role player. Marcus Hailslip was a future/raw player and just a guy the Nuggets hope develops.

Rockets
(2nd)28. Houston Rockets-Devin Brown SG 6'5'' 220 23 C B- C B- C B
Rockets got maybe a steal with the last pick of the entire draft. As they were sweating the Vince Carter FA race the Rockets got Brown with the last pick and he could be a helping hand to the Rockets bench. They need help and depth at the wings and Brown should develop into a solid role player. Steal.

(2nd)14. Minnesota Timberwolves-Robertas Javtokas PF 6'10'' 205 22 C+ C- D+ B- B- B
Minny takes Dunleavy JR and a guy who's a great outside shooter from Duke. He should fit the style of outside focus for Minny. They needed help inside and there wasn't really any player left that was worth this spot. They could have moved down or up but you cant fault them for something they didnt do.

24. Utah Jazz-Mladen Sekularac SF 6'8'' 210 21 C+ B C C+ C B
The Jazz were just looking for a player who can develop over time as they were looking to be a big spender in the FA period. They got Larry Hughes and makes up for going after a wing. Sekularac is a solid prospect who could develop into something nice.

The AK loves his women and he's going up north where the women like to have hair on their legs. WIll he be distracted by the women there or will he play great ball? Play great ball while the women play with his is our guess. The Grizz rebuild is going nicely already. They get a great defensive stopper at #4 and then with #16 they pick Juan Carols Navarro who is a great combo guard. Great start to their rebuild!
