He is good, but most teams want to keep their star young player because it makes more sense long term. Yeah but people should be in sim leagues to compete right? No better way than to go righ to the top. With Preira you have a sure thing. Unless you have the pieces around him you won't go to the top.

Dirk absolutely does not. better contract.. younger.. and still has B scouted yes he has more trade value.. doesn't mean he's a better player but trade value wise he definitely has more options that Preira. Yeah but how much impact can Dirk bring to a team compared to Preira? Any fringe playoff team will probably be competing with Preira. Isn't that the goal of being a GM? To win?

Of course, but that's what you do after you get him. You then trade for talent around him. It's better than sitting around for many seasons hoping your youngsters get better where they may or may not come through.
