But what about 5 years into the future? 1 year old Billups and 23 lebron or 31 Billups and 35 EP? The short success with EP would be great, but long term Bron makes more sense. 35 year old Preira will still be better than 23 year old LeBron. Book it. He could always retire soon also. |

I dunno mate, Billups is awesome and I don't think you'll still be able to tank with him on board if you are in fact trying to continue to rebuild. Billups + Bron probably = 1st round exit. Billups + Preira = finals. Perhaps... I'd rather take my chances at being better longer with Billups/Bron. Not to mention the flexibility that I currently have with Bron (until his rookie deal ends). Will give me a lot of time to get this team's act together Hey man, it's your call and all, I just don't think you'd need all that time to compete. Billups is a top top player. Seriously good. Pair him with someone like Preira and you'd be set for a long time for sure. Good luck though man, I'm not pressuring you to make the trade, I'm just saying how I see it. |
