If you aren't completely fixing the system then no reason to change it. This year 3 teams could very will finish undefeated. i guess we should just go back to the old way where BCS didn't even exist and the top 2 teams wouldn't even face eachother. That doesn't make sense. If you have an option to make something better, your not? |

What I want is no preseason rankings. Start rankings/standings at about week 6, that way you can see what teams actually do. Look at USC this year. Since they started so high, their loses didn't hurt them that much.
I would also prefer if every major bcs conference had a conference championship game. Yes that means you pac 10 and big 10.
I am not a fan of having the conferences tied into bowls. The past couple years you had a shitty big east with crappy teams in the bcs.

yea, pre season rankings blow.
You shouldn't be a top 5 team just cuz you started out there. It should be on a week by week basis. Voters stick to there previous rankings too much and that fucks up the system also.

Preseason rankings screw over some teams. Imagine if TCU or Cincinnati started out #1 and Texas started unranked. We would have a totally different NC game based on preseason rankings. |

Are they not already shafted? I mean, based on what we have now. It's 1,000 times better. A bcs bowl vs. a legit team should make a team easier to judge and at the very least, the voters can make a more educated vote. The system is flawed, but every system is flawed since having conferences really messes things up. You can't say they should have a system like the mlb or nfl because it won't translate. The BCS only decides the BCS champion, the coaches can still vote a different champion. The coaches cannot vote a separate champion, the AP can. |
