If he couldn't net a midlevel prospect + a team who is trying to win at all costs first this season for Navarro than he has problems. AI is practically a throw in this deal. He could have signed a few other players and netted more than he did here. He maxed out a 32 year old player who plays the same position as his best 2 guys on his roster. I'm still baffled.

Ashes gave him an extra year since his pick was forfeited...the one that ended up second overall that wasn't even his....tmacz had it, he'd probably has less value now if he trades for it... but the forfeit made it so that he could not reacquire his own pick, which with KG on the team he obviously could have done....most times when a team doesn't have a pick, they can get it back, but Portland couldn't

Well usually the person receiving the star wins by default. The Blazers signed AI and flipped him for a nice prospect and a 1st. Can't realize lose in that situation. Zyme got more for AI than you did for Preira though How is any of this: Cassel, Childress, Webster, 2008 first round pick better than a lotto pick, Joe Johnson, C.J. Miles and Anderson Varejao? You're nuts lol. That 08 Pistons pick is not going to be good at all, Cassell is dead and the only thing of value there is Webster. But anyway, if you want to fire shots, how's it going having drafted LeBron James and gotten Shaq, Billups and JO? Remind me, how many rings have you got?

Pistons went 2-5 after the deal...though they lost twice to the Powerhouse that is the Rockets....while Martell averaged 22 points per game over the 8 games the Blazers played

Teething problems. Gotta get the depth chart right. Like if I ran with AI as first option, I'd think of trying an outside offense at a fast pace. With AI, Navarro, Gordon, KVH, Rodriguez, Herren all on the team at A- or better outside shooting... I'd definitely be doing that. Artest isn't bad at shooting either with a B so it'd be a good shout imo. Give em time.

I'm not firing any shots. I just find the criticism of this funny when you traded the GOAT for an inferior looking piece. The others you mentioned are irrelevant. Career 2nd stringers at best
Also don't forget Rip on that list bro. And it's been going pretty good I'd say.. strung together some good seasons

What you see with Webster is what you get. He's solid no doubt but he isn't the next big thing. He was in a shitty draft class and he isn't going to improve much more from what he is. Shit just because you're young doesn't mean you keep improving.
I understand flipping what you get in FA however he flipped for undervalue especially considering his trading partner was in a do or die situation. The Blazers will never be good under this GM and I've said this a few seasons ago.
