He's an above average defender. NBAdraft.net is high I think he's a versatile defender and above average for college, yes. At the pro level I see him to be average to below average. This is a sim league though we can be imaginative. I don't mind him being low here, but I just think that site is wrong. I've seen Singler play at many levels and he has always been a good/great defender. NBA is a much higher level, but he works on defense all the time from what I've seen. I'm glad we(UO) have the other Singler brother. In his one year here, he has been our most consistent defender. |

Theres no doubt he works hard but the NBA is a different game than NCAA. It rewards athletes not guys who know how to play the game necessarily.

You don't need to be an athlete to be a good defender.
Battier/Artest are nonathletic and are the top defenders in the league.

He's so strong and his footwork is amazing. As for Battier he's been known for his defense since college. It's how he makes a living much like Bruce Bowen. Both are much quicker than Singler. |

Taylor will make his living off of his defensive abilities.

GREAT outside shooter. He could start in Philly one day with his GREAT defense.
