1. Perry Jones SF 6'11" 230 20 B C+ C B B- A
Ever since Barnes announced that he was returning to school, teams with lottery picks have been drooling over Jones. Perry Jones can do it all. He's got great size and has a solid inside-outside game. He's a strong defender and gets in position for those rebounds. If a team does not pick Jones with the #1 pick, the GM should be fired. Jones could probably play some PF if needed as well. His versatility mixed with his solid all-around game makes him a very very valuable team to a rebuilding/retooling team.
2. Avery Bradley PG 6'2" 180 21 B+ C C B+ D+ A
It's hard to slot a PG with mediocre handles and perimeter shot all the way as a top 3 player but there is no doubt that Bradley can play. He's a terrific scorer who attacks the rim consistently and always has the opposing defenders on their toes. Not to mention he plays good defense and forces a lot of turnovers. He's got great size and could potentially play some minutes at the back-up SG spot if needed. It's really tough to gauge Bradley's game because it is so indifferent from traditional PGs but I'd say it's worth the risk.
3. Trey Thompkins PF 6'9" 245 21 B C- C- C+ C+ A
Scouts love his versatility to play inside and outside but most of his offensive production will come around the rim. He's a strong finisher and does the things he needs to do to get the ball in the basket. He may not be the best athlete in the draft, but he's got the tools to be solid starting big man in the league. His defensive skills and rebounding is still very raw and still needs work in order for him to produce consistently on the next level.
4. Jordan Hamilton SF 6'7" 210 21 B B- C- C C- A
Terrific volume scorer that will score at a very high rate as long as he has the ball in his hands. He loves to drive but can pull up for the outside shot. Like many volume shooters, he's incredibly trigger happy and could go on potential slumps through the season. His defense and other aspects of his game will not bail him out either. This is a tough position for a team but if you want a potential 25 PPG threat, this is your chance to get a player of that caliber.
5. Josh Selby SG 6'1" 180 19 B+ C+ C C+ D A
One of the youngest entrants in this year's draft, and probably has the highest ceiling. He's more of a natural PG and that'll most likely where he'll start his UOSLR journey. Scouts have noted that he's incredibly turnover prone, constantly trying to force the issue on passes which could be a turn off considering PG... is one of the most important positions and should handle the ball with care. With that said, I doubt Selby falls out of the top 5, even if he has handling problems. He's just as good as Bradley at attacking the rim, if not better. He's probably one of the best athletes in the draft and can get up. He's got a decent outside game but it's still very raw. Selby is going to be a long term project so don't expect him to come in and dominate.
6. Brandon Knight PG 6'3" 185 20 C+ C+ B- B- C- A
One of the better pass-first PG, Knight looks to set-up his teammates before he looks for his own shot. He's got a very raw offensive game but knows in order for success, he needs to be the commander of the court and control the pace of the game. Knight's got good size and could probably take advantage of the smaller guards at both ends of the court.
7. Travis Leslie SG 6'4" 202 21 B C- D+ B+ C+ A
Leslie is another tough prospect to gauge. He plays like a forward but is very undersized. He's actually a very good rebounder for someone his size. He's a terrific defender and does most of his offensive work down in the low-post. His jump shot is very very bad and could be a reason why he falls in the draft. Another is his inability to handle the ball. Leslie would be a terrific forward prospect if he was just 2-3 inches taller. Still a very good player but you'd probably need an outside shooting PG and SF to compliment Leslie's game if he is in your future plans.
8. Solomon Alabi C 7'1" 251 23 C+ D+ D- B B- B
Strong interior low-post defender who will not give up easy baskets. He'll be found hovering around blocking shots and doing what he needs to do to make it so opposing players do not get clean looks around the rim. He's a pretty good rebounder and he's got great size. His offense still needs some work but you won't be drafting him because of that. Some have said he could be a starter for the next decade... definitely worth a look in the top 10 even if his ceiling isn't as high as many of the prospects in the draft.
9. Kemba Walker PG 6'0" 180 21 C B B+ C+ D B
IMO the second most ready player in the draft that can come in and produce immediately. A lot of teams drafting in the top 10 are willing to take the risk which could bump him down a few spots but I don't expect him to fall out of the lotto, if so, then he'd be a steal. He's a terrific passer and has a strong perimeter game. He's got decent size for a PG and is very quick. He may not have as high of a ceiling as the other PG in the draft but he's definitely the most refined.
10. Alec Burks SG 6'6" 185 20 C+ B- C- B- D+ B
An interesting player that is bubbling around the top 10 mark. Reason I've slotted him so high is because of his ability to play both ends of the court. He's got terrific size and has a knack for scoring. His all-around game is still very raw but he has the blue print to be a starter in the league.
11. Greg Smith C 6'10" 250 20 B D D C+ C A
Smith is a player with a LOT of upside but could be a potential hit or miss. I know a lot of teams in the lotto are willing to take that risk but the competition he's played against are not at the highest level and he hasn't necessarily dominated at a consistent rate. But with that said, he's still a big body who finishes strong around the rim. His rebounding is very suspect and for a C... that could turn heads to look the other way.
12. Terrico White SG 6'5" 211 21 B B C C C- B
Much like Jordan Hamilton who was slotted all the way in the top 5 at #4, White is a volume scorer. He's just a tad bit better around the perimeter but doesn't have the same size advantage as Jordan Hamilton. He too, has holes in the rest of his game but doesn't have the same upside as Hamilton. If Hamilton is considered as a potential 25 PPG threat, you could probably pencil in White as a 15-20 PPG player out of the gate.
13. John Henson PF 6'10' 200 21 B- C- C- B- C+ A
Henson and White both entered the draft relatively late and scouts haven't had as much time analyzing their game compared to the rest of the class. Henson has a lot of upside but is a very lanky player. Some scouts compare him to a similar UNC-forward, Brandan Wright. He's got pretty good handles for a big man and plays both ends of the court. He gets in position relatively easy for someone his size so it could do wonders for him if he adds on a few lbs.
14. Arnett Moultrie PF 6"11 220 21 B- D D+ B- C A
Similar to Greg Smith, Moultrie has good size for a PF but is still very raw. He can play both ends of the court but the biggest concern is his rebounding, or should we say inability to rebound at a consistent rate. He's got the raw skill to be a very good player and will be a player that'll take time for him to progress into a potential starter somewhere down the line.
15. Wesley Witherspoon SF 6'8" 185 21 C B+ D B+ C B
The most ready player in the draft and will contribute as soon as he steps onto the court. Witherspoon plays both ends of the court and has a decent all-around game. He could use a few lbs added to his relatively lanky frame. He's got good height, allowing him to shoot over defenders and his outside shot is pretty money. A team that just snuck in the playoffs could use a player of Witherspoon's caliber and will help immediately.
16. Jimmer Fredette PG 6'2" 195 22 C+ A- B- C D B
Really like Fredette. He's got a terrific outside shot and is a solid ball handler. He could potentially be a starter but he'll be just fine as a back-up if his defense never develops. Surprisingly, he's got a decent drive that will get him some easy buckets around the rim from time to time. He's got a good frame, and is definitely worth looking at mid-first round.
17. Luke Babbitt PF 6'9" 225 22 B- B- D+ C B- B
Noted as one of the best scorers in the draft. With his size, he plays kind-of like Dirk, where he can pound it inside but also pull up and take the outside shot. He's also a fairly decent rebounder. Downside and biggest flaw to his game is his inability to defend opposing forwards. He COULD be a fairly good defender at SF, though.
18. Kris Joseph SF 6'7" 207 23 B- C C- B C B
A lot of scouts love athleticism and Joseph is that, an athletic freak. He loves to get up and finish with flare. Not to mention he's also a pretty good defender. He's got a nice all-around game and could contribute right away with his defense.
19. Kyle Singler SF 6'9" 210 23 C A- C- C+ C+ B
Another player who loves to play around the perimeter and is a very good shooter. Some question whether he's reached his peak but he's worth a look around this range. He's a decent defender and has the size to play some PF if needed. Will never be a starter, though.
20. Malcolm Lee SG 6'5" 190 21 C+ C+ B- B- D B
Lee is a combo-guard with great size. His offense is still fairly raw and could take a few years to mature but his ability to handle and defender could get him some PT off the bench at both guard positions.
21. Tiny Gallon PF 6'9" 296 20 B+ D- D- C C B
It's hard to put Gallon this low on the rankings but there's a lot of question marks surround his game. First of all, he's a bit short to play the C but is a very very big body. His low-post game will probably turn a few heads and will probably be drafted a bit earlier than expected. A lot of scouts have questioned whether or not he is ready to contribute on a UOSLR team so, take that for what it's worth.
22. Jeffery Taylor SF 6'7" 200 22 C+ C+ D+ A- C B
A defensive specialist at this late of the draft is worth the look. He could probably be drafted a bit earlier but this is fairly good value. Taylor's got great size and has a raw offensive game that could be fairly productive in the future.
23. LaceDarius Dunn SG 6'4" 200 24 C+ B+ C- C+ C- B
A terrific outside shooter that can drive and play relatively decent defense. He'll most likely fall to the late first and possibly into the 2nd because of his age and "tapped out" potential.
24. JaJuan Johnson PF 6'10" 215 22 C+ D- D B C+ B
A lanky prospect who plays strong defense. He's got a raw low-post game and is a fairly decent rebounder. He's got potential to be a solid rotational player.
25. Elias Harris SF 6'7" 220 22 B- C+ D C+ C+ B
Fairly raw all-around game and is an athletic freak. A lot of teams love athleticism so Harris will definitely be drafted. He's got good size and has decent upside to improve.
26. JaMychal Green PF 6'9" 225 21 C+ D+ D B- C+ B
An athletic big that has high potential means one thing... it's worth the risk, especially at this late in the draft. His post game is incredibly raw and if he's that athletic, that means he probably won't be a reliable option that will consistently produce. He's a pretty good defender and has good size.
27. Durrell Summers SG 6'5" 186 21 B- C+ D+ C+ D B
Two words: Workout warrior. He's been turning heads and a lot of scouts love what he's shown to them. Don't be surprised if he's drafted earlier than expected. He's got a decent outside shot and has the size to be fairly competent on the defensive end.
28. Ryan Richards C 6'10" 225 20 C+ C- D+ C+ C+ A
If there's any time to take a flyer, this is the time. Drafting solely based on potential, Richards has the size to play both the PF and C. His game is still very raw and needs tremendous work, but a team this late in the draft probably won't need a player to come in and contribute immediately.
29. William Buford SG 6'5" 190 21 C B C- C+ D B
Solid outside shot and decent defender. He's got decent size and has potential to be a solid spark off the bench.
