there were 5 fantom calls in the box. I usually wouldn't care, but most of them should have been called on Slovenia, AND we never get those type of shit calls on our side. Credit to Slovenia though for flopping. USA needs to hire some European assistant coach just to teach them how to flop and get these gay calls.

Meh, the calls in the box don't directly lead to outcomes of the games like nba officials blowing whistles do.
Basketball bad calls, lead to points. In soccer, it's rare that a call, takes away or gives someone a goal. That's the difference.

In soccer, it's rare that a call, takes away or gives someone a goal. That's the difference. Lol I swear every world cup we get ripped... Germany vs USA 2002 - Hand ball in the box not called, USA losses 1-0. Italy vs USA 2006 - 2 red cards. One given directly which is the biggest shit red card I saw that entire world cup. Hardly a yellow even. And then other red was two yellows, where both were very MEH. Went on to tie the game 1-1, but we were up 1-0 until the ref gave it away with reds. Slovenia vs USA 2010 - Goal taken away because of a foul that didn't exist. Shoulda won, but instead 2-2. Come on. In basketball, there's never a game where I look back at and am like wtF? Refs cheated. None. I've seen some horribly reffed basketball games, but not even comparable to soccer games. Football might be a little different (check Oklahoma vs Oregon 2005 lol).

One horrible call in basketball usually doesn't mean shit.

I've seen refs take superstars out of the entire game 'cause of foul calls. Foul trouble is huge in basketball. Soccer pales in comparison.

The hand ball wasn't intentional, Intent is huge in soccer in '02. In '06, Mastroeni deserved that red card, it was a bone head play and he dived spikes up from behind at a ball he had no chance of getting, straight red was deserved. Refs didn't give away that game lol, we didn't even have one shot on goal that game, we were lucky to come away with a tie.
Slovenia is really the only legit one.

We don't need algeria to win at all. If we beat algeria by 2, we advance no matter what. But it would makes things a lot easier
