I'm bored, so I wanted to chime in on some of my favorite people in our little community (in no particular order)
Ducky - I <3 the duckster. He seems like a cool person to hang out with. He's a nice guy, almost a pushover, but that can be a redeeming quality too. It's cute when he gets into arguments, because I can tell he's a smart guy, but he ties himself up in his own words or trips over his own feet. Wouldn't want him on my debate squad. Would love to meet him one day.
play - I got a lot of love for play too, no homo. He's a cool guy, and a lot nerdier than he puts on, which is cute. We all are though. It's funny because play is never serious, ever, and when people don't realize it, hilarity ensues. Play is most associated with "stfu", "gtfo", or "play is gay" which always makes me laugh. I heard he has a temper in real life, but really, he's just a big ole' teddy bear. Would also love to meet him.
marty - Marty is a character in every sense of the word. I have no doubt he's probably one of the most chilled guys in real life. Online he's the prototypical asshole etc but he's actually a nice guy. Like play, he's never really serious, but usually more vocal/annoying. He's always right about everything, so once you accept that, dealing with him is no problem. Wouldn't mind meeting him one day.
Spencer - One of the old ass dudes that floats around still. Just got married, congrats to him. Very nice guy that knows how to deal with the assortment of characters that our circle of sim leagues attracts. Really helpful, too. Always means well. He's the kind of guy your parents would like him as your friend. He's able to laugh off any conflict, which is pretty funny. Wouldn't mind meeting him one day.
saga - Probably the nicest guy ever. This dude has to be an absolute pleasure to be around in real life, because I have never seen him get angry. Just the way he posts brightens my day sometimes. I remember people talking shit about him as a GM all the time in UOSL2 and maybe even here, and he would just grin (and win a title here). That kind of attitude is so cool, it's like "you can't phase me bro." He loves to rhyme and pepper in frequent exclamation marks. If I could afford the travel, I'd love to meet him.
broph - I like broph. I haven't had too much exchange with him as much as most of the others I'm talking about, other than playing COD once. He's a treasure to have in the league though. Seeing him grow as a GM has been pretty cool. Incredibly active, and a vital part to the UOSL community now. I dunno what I'd do if he left. He has great insight also. He was a new addition, but you could tell he had all the tools to stick around. Nothing really jumps out to meet him, but I wouldn't be opposed to the idea. Probably should get to know him more.
Krup - Screw all of you guys, I like Krup. He's really good for the league. Sometimes he's a johnny tryhard, but all in all he means well. It seems like every day he's getting shit from someone or dishing it out to another. I wish he wouldn't take certain things seriously occasionally, but I can understand when the line gets crossed (though he's been known to cross the line as well). I don't know him well enough to have a real desire to meet him, and I don't really have a read on what kind of person he is in real life (usually I can get a decent read on those things) so more time is needed to decide on that.
allstar - Where the fuck did you go, you inactive bitch?
pig - Haha I guess I could say the same thing to you! Pig's a nice guy though, and incredibly funny. Notorious for his drinking and hiatuses, pig is one of those guys that's cool to have around. Wouldn't mind getting drunk with him one night.
Tiger - Tiger is another nice guy. The resident brit (and asian) amongst us. He fills two needs in one! Where has he been lately? I haven't seen him in awhile. Hope he hasn't left, that'd be sad. JUST BECAUSE PREIRA LEFT DOESN'T MEAN YOU HAVE TO LEAVE TOO! Seriously though, cool dude. We were in some geocities league together a LONG time ago, in fact, before I met anyone else here, but he didn't know me.
chipper - Definitely a johhny tryhard, but he means well. He's a jew, but that's okay, we won't hold it against him. Just say away from Kru! (
) He's very nice actually, and will just chat with you. People give him shit a lot, and he puts on a good face, but I think it gets to him sometimes. Lay off the chipster, k?
crazymike - crazymike is crazy
DB - Dan's a cool dude, but sometimes I think he's got multiple personalities. I dunno why, he just seems different depending on the circumstances. I heard he's really short. Why are you an admin here?!!? WHAT DO YOU DO? I kid, but seriously, what do you do? Nah, but anyways, I wouldn't mind getting to know him better, I think he's a nice guy.
ray - Nice guy, but wtf GM. Seems to have rotten luck in UOSL. I've always liked ray though, and I wish I had the time to be in his league, I'm sure he's doing a great job.
jay - Random ass dude, but great guy to chat with if you have the chance. Fun fact, jay was actually in a very old league of mine (I found his name on the league's AIM list). I can't remember which one though, MBA maybe. Always insightful, jay is definitely one of the more eccentric persons here. Wouldn't mind meeting him.
theschmaranz - I dunno how you guys scared him away. I guess he's never dealt with annoying/frustrating guys that well, to be honest, so it's a hard adjustment coming from a league where he controls a lot of what you can and cannot say in certain places, whereas here there really isn't any restriction. I think he found idle and marty most annoying, but I don't remember. Anyways, he's another old guy, but he's very nice, I chat with him on AIM often. Wouldn't mind meeting him.
maverick - Haha screw you play and whoever else chased him away. He's a friend of mine, very nice guy. He's actually a very good, active GM. It was a shame what happened with him, maybe one day I can get him to come back.
