POWER RANKING
John Wall leading the Nuggets to # 1 in the West
1) Denver Nuggets
Probably biased here but after defeating the two top teams in the East and West and also playing the least home games and have yet to lose, the Nuggets deserve this # 1 spot. John Wall is coming to his own and is arguably the best young point guard in this league. After last seasons WCF appearance, he was left with a bitter taste in his mouth and is ready to lead this squad to hopefully a championship
2) Milwaukee Bucks
They have only lost 1 game so far this season but also played a grand total of 11 games. There frontcourt is loaded with Chandler and Monroe on top they lead the league in shot blocking per game. Wade is still wade going for 30 ppg. Only problem I can see with them is there point guard position. Jimmer doesn’t look like a starter yet and there other point guards lack defense. They are a very solid defensive squad
3) New Jersey Nets
Derrick Favors and Xavier Henry looks like a solid 1-2 punch. They are one of the best rebounding team in this league. I don’t see much weakness on this team. They could definitely use better SG and C depth. Need more shot blockers.
4) Sacramento Kings
Sucks they lose Wagner for 69 days. It’ll be interesting to see how they progress without him. They are the favourites in this years West side. Bosh looks great upfront with Oden and they compliment eachother perfectly. Outlaw’s a beast almost hitting that 28 ppg plateau. Rubio is a fine young pg running there team, problem is he can’t shoot for shit.
5) Philadelphia 76ers
Jared Sullinger looks solid now with that B+ defense, we all worried that his B defense might stay but now that’s out of the question. Al Jefferson doing his thang. However I do question there point guard. Rose turns it over 4.0 per game.
6) Minnesota Timberwolves
Amare Stoudemire is a straight up beast. This guy is doing 32 ppg to go along with his 13 rpg and 1.7 bpg. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a big average that many points, you’ll only see that in guards. Bassy looks in good form and there wing players look solid. Only thing they lack is a true center and 3.6 bpg as a team looks very unimpressive. There is no shot-blocking presence in this team.
7) Indiana Pacers
Its strange seeing how there defense is holding up. I would never start a big like Lee with C defense. His partner Darko looks awesome, going for 4 bpg and going 18-11 shooting 45% is impressive for a big man. He clearly anchors the defense for the Pacers. This is where it ends, there guards are not that impressive, they are solid but no go to scorer.
8) Atlanta Hawks
Not really a fan of there frontcourt. Humphries is ok, but he’s shooting 32% and Alridge is straight up bench material. Deshawn Stevenson and Kelenna Azuibike looks impressive. I wonder who there point guard is
9) Seattle Supersonics
There backcourt is impressive with Mo Williams and Tyreke going for 20 ppg. They also have a beast name Dwight Howard upfront. All 3 of these players are averaging 20 ppg. However they need better big man depth
10) Orlando Magic
Josh Smith looks sick but he shoots it too much. Iguodala looks fine but they need a better point guard and big man upfront with Smith. Bynum isn’t cutting it.
11) Portland Trailblazers
Nicholas Batum is a young super star in the making. His ability to score efficiently and score 29 ppg is great. Tony Parker is the best point guard in the league. When you Batum and Parker together, this team is dangerous. They just acquired Monta Ellis, who is ok. A 38 year old Duncan and Diop. They need to a better frontcourt. The 5.5 bpg as a team isn’t helping
12) Dallas Mavericks
Ahhh the Mavericks. They have a sick big in Jonas. Dam the guys a beast, too bad he can’t block a lick but that’s why they brought in Emeka Okafor for. One for blocking shots and the other for scoring upfront. After that there guards are washed up. Chris Duhon is the starting PG for this team. They need a better PG
13) New York Knicks
Perry Jones is ridiculous. Dudes 23 and he’s like a Kevin Durant. Straight up scorer and hopefully he improves that long range bomb. Other than Sean Williams, the Knicks need to surround better talent around Perry. Lets hope this is not another KG situation
14) Utah Jazz
They have a nice backcourt and that’s where it ends. Bargnani, Ed Davis, is meh. Some guy name Alex looks promising but that’s about it. They need better starters upfront. They have no blocking prescense and there rebounding is horrendous 46 rpg? Shit.
15) San Antonio Spurs
This is the guy that traded me Thabeet, after seeing Bensons TC I thought I’d fucked myself over but meh I still prefer Thabeet over Benson. Rudy Gay/Deron Williams/Ray Allen looks like a deadly Trio but I question there defense. Especially Deron. Terrence Williams was actually one of the guys I was hoping would improve through his TC. Good thing he rejected the Terrence and roy deal. They need better players upfront. As they got the guards covered
16) Washington Bullets
Marquis Teague looks very promising. This young point guard is putting up impressive stats for a rookie. Michael Gilchrist looks nice also. As these two grow together and the massive first round picks the Bullets look very promising going into the future.
17) Los Angeles Lakers
As good as there backcourt is, they turn it over way too much back there. Avery Bradley looks nice and Yao Ming and his partner Martynas Andriuskevicius looks to compliment Yao. They need to play better defense though.
18) Toronto Raptors
That young trio Trey Thompson, Gordon Hayward, and Terrico White look nice. Lets hope they get a good young PG in this upcoming draft or a center.
19) Cleveland Cavaliers
I love that trade they made with Spurs. Getting Jalen Kendricks and C.J Leslie is sick. They are a rebuilding squad. They have some young talent and hopefully scott hopson makes it big in the next TC
20) Boston Celtics
Having Ak47/Deng on the wing looks sick but they don’t have the pieces to compliment them. There PG is meh and the frontcourt is non-existent which equals to poor defense as a team
21) Miami Heat
Tell u the truth, I’m not really fond of anyone this squad. Webster looks alright but the rest are not appealing at all. They are more like role players. They struggle to shoot and score.
22) Phoenix Suns
This is a rebuilding squad. They do have some pieces that will net them a rebuilding package with Chris Paul to a contending team and Roy Hibbert. There only hope is Kenny, looks promising but dam he shoots ugly from the floor
23) Detroit Pistons
Harrison Barnes and Abdul are nice rebuilding pieces. It looks like they are going to hit the lottery again. Hope they get another high draft pick to add to there 2 man core right now.
24) Charlotte Hornets
LBJ and Turner is the best wing duel in the league. Kemba Walker looks like a promising PG but clearly is not ready to lead this team. This squad needs talent around LBJ, He can’t do it alone.
25) Los Angeles Clippers
This team only averages 81 ppg, dam that’s pretty bad for a bad team. There only hope is Jordan Price and this franchise will be very dependant on this upcoming draft. There is no talent on this team. Chase is about the only piece they have at best and he’s only a role player. Hopefully they can net something for him
26) Chicago Bulls
Alec Burks is about the only light of hope of this franchise. They do have some assets to net in a rebuilding package with Hodge and Hughes. Lets hope for some lottery luck.
27) Golden State Warriors
This team is down right terrible. They do have some young pieces in Josh Selby, scott, rivers and pepper. Whiteside’s contract looks ugly though. They do have some nice veteran big man that could be helpful for contending teams.
28) Memphis Grizzles
Fab Melo looks great. This teams got some young pieces but they aren’t going to contend next season as the grizzles gm say they are. They are some pieces away to be a contender
29) Houston Rockets
This was a 52 win team last season and they look awfully aka lottery bound this season. You gotta feel for Kevin Durant, his prime years are being wasted. They need to retool or rebuild around Durant ASAP. The talents aren’t meshing.
