Lawrence Taylor in his prime would automatically set the tone for your defense. I'd probably go with him. Not exactly the football historian though.

Revis is great don't get me wrong but his longevity isn't there yet for him to be one of the greats. Deion did it for a long period of time.

Lawrence Taylor. Not really that close. Deion comes in second for me, but Lawrence Taylor CHANGED THE GAME. Literally, he changed the game. If not for him, LTs wouldn't be paid as much right now.
