You're simply making excuses and skirtting the subject. Also try paragraph spacing in your posts, its not a novel concept. The fact that you concede that the west is shitty, is enough for you to concede that you stole Perry Jones. Put simply, you deal Ray in ANY trade if it nets you Perry Jones. Don't go off on that bullshit that you would have not made the deal to get Ray for just one pick. Second point, in the west, Chipper could have been competitive enough to make a run for the playoffs the next three seasons. It was stupid to even deal Jones for such a shitty offer, so shitty that Jay got more in the deal than Chipper. Third point, I may not be interested in trade Oden for Okafor, simply put, it stalls his rebuilding (which is currently happening) so I don't pull the trigger on that deal. This leaves no team interested in taking Okafor, a player Chipper made a trade block for and no one responded. Getting one pick from Jay instead of two is far easier, Harris could have netted one pick from Jay as well for a sign and trade in the off-season. Onto you skirtting the issue again, if you want to bring up my record, bring up the best player on my team when I took it over. Not to mention that I took over a franchise that was missing picks from the previous GM. As for my best player, it was Tony Dumas, that's all I had until I got screwed in the draft year over year and picked up the overrated Nazr from the draft and took Parker the following season. Built my team around Parker after losing him, I had to rush to make my contract year. I got busy, the east was tough and had to take some time off knowing I wouldn't make the CY anyway. MY 50 win season from a previous year came as an eigth seed, with Nash and Iverson hurt early in my CY, I had no business making the playoffs. Yes, I did get Westbrook...he sucked though, none of the players that left the Mavericks were as good as Tony and Alex, to boot, I had lost them after their rookie seasons and they were the top players in each of their drafts entering their contract season. The Mavs didn't lose the top players in each of their respective drafts and they didn't have a GM in the off-season to resign Ray McCallum. yeah, but Ashes put in an offer for McCallum, and, in the 2001 draft Tony Parker was not the best player, or close to it when you lost him, Jason Richardson was coming off a 23 ppg season, Dajuan Wagner was arguably better at the time FA came and went, Mo Williams ended up winning the MVP and being an insane scoring PG, Parker was one of the best, but not the best...it took Parker til his third season with the Kings to even become a great PG, he was a nicce PG but not elite...hell you lucked into both him and Oriakhi, Ducky picked Oriakhi, and Parker, the clear #1 guy, was passed over by Saga for Carlos Boozer. Eddy Curry was a 22 and 12 guy for a while too. As for Oriakhi's draft, Gilchrist is better, and Ducky made that pick for you as well Also, please dont say you got screwed in the draft picking an overrated Nazr...you were the one who overrated him, and he was a late lotto pick, to get a big jump outta him was not to be expected, after losing Parker, you had a full five seasons to win 40 games, and you couldnt do it, thats terrible. Now, back to the Seattle Deal..Chipper getting back his pick this year was a big part, he could have tanked better, but he didnt, to get Perry in the offseason, I would have had to acquire the pick that you own as well, as it was the opportunity for Chip to tank this year that was important to the deal. Now, it turns out that he isnt gonna be lotto, but when the deal was made, based on the way his team has played, he could easily have been lotto had he actually looked to deal his players. He didnt though, thats his fault, the deal was fine, but he didnt look to deal anybody, so he screwed up This is all part of you skirtting the issue. What was the offer that Ashes put it, was it a max deal, do you know what it was, he never mentioned what offer he put in for him...if he did. Did he say anywhere that he put in an offer for him. Nope, I don't remember. Richardson's ratings were no where near as close to Parker, statistics can mean a players numbers where inflated. See Brandon Wright on my team right now, if someone is a number one option, chances are he'll score more points than someone who wasn't a number one option (Parker wasn't a number one option). As for Mo Williams winning the MVP, that's another case of inflated numbers as he wasn't impressive in previous seasons or following seasons. He benefitted from being a point guard in a system that ran through Perry Jones. As for getting Oriakhi, Ducky even admitted that I had done a lot to him to increase his ratings, I camped him numerous times. He would not have been as great if I didn't put the effort into building him up. As for Eddy Curry being a 22 and 12 guy is a nonsensical point as well, see Brandon Wright's numbers, again. Players can easily benefit from being a top option AND/OR playing through a system that has other stars on the team. Nazr, when I said overrated, it means his ratings were overrated. He was hardly productive as a player in the league. Seattle deal (since this is the crust of the conversation, everything else is your BS), how could chipper tank better. You're already out of excuses with Okafor...what's next? There was nothing on that team I would have traded the pick for. Nothing. He couldn't deal Okafor, he couldn't deal Humphries, he couldn't deal Terrance Williams, all because they had too big of deals (on one year) that it would be a leg and foot to give up other players for). These players sucked, sucked so much they were good enough to make the playoffs in a shitty conference. Now add Perry Jones, they would have been a playoff contendor for the next three seasons. A point you have yet to refute except by claiming three teams will be in their contract year so the West will magically not be as shitty but will still suck.

You forgot when I traded the Mavs Shaq, and he returned to me the following offseason lol. Mavs had it bad wow. If you don't offer Shaq a max contract, you deserve to lose him.

What was the offer that Ashes put it, was it a max deal, do you know what it was, he never mentioned what offer he put in for him...if he did. Did he say anywhere that he put in an offer for him. Nope, I don't remember. I put a bid in for McCallum from the Mavs Richardson's ratings were no where near as close to Parker, statistics can mean a players numbers where inflated. See Brandon Wright on my team right now, if someone is a number one option, chances are he'll score more points than someone who wasn't a number one option (Parker wasn't a number one option). Richardson was a B+ A- C A- C
I should know I had him
As for Mo Williams winning the MVP, that's another case of inflated numbers as he wasn't impressive in previous seasons or following seasons. As for getting Oriakhi, Ducky even admitted that I had done a lot to him to increase his ratings, I camped him numerous times. He would not have been as great if I didn't put the effort into building him up. Mo had a team with perry, and Yet Mo put up 28 and 10 or some insane shit like that...that scoring is amazing
yes, you put points into Oriakhi, but are you saying somebody else wouldnt have? he shouldnt have been picked at #2, and honestly, he could be the best defensive big man in the league had you not dumped points into his insideAs for Eddy Curry being a 22 and 12 guy is a nonsensical point as well, see Brandon Wright's numbers, again. Players can easily benefit from being a top option AND/OR playing through a system that has other stars on the team. Eddy Curry did it on the Suns as a second or third option, not typically a first option, and on the Raptors as wellNazr, when I said overrated, it means his ratings were overrated. He was hardly productive as a player in the league. But that was outta a late lotto pick, you tried to tell me you got screwed by selecting him, when in reality he did far better than you could have expected...so yeah, you actually got lucky.Seattle deal (since this is the crust of the conversation, everything else is your BS), how could chipper tank better. You're already out of excuses with Okafor...what's next? Lol I already said, and this was just a quick overlooking of rosters, Ducky (Harris, Gbinje, Hood, Cap) Indy (Louis Williams, Adrien Payne, Mickael Hopkins IN season MLE), and you all had the contracts for Meka, and T-will isnt gonna win for a team who has no second post....Twill is a complimentary player.
There was nothing on that team I would have traded the pick for. Nothing. He couldn't deal Okafor, he couldn't deal Humphries, he couldn't deal Terrance Williams, all because they had too big of deals (on one year) that it would be a leg and foot to give up other players for). \These players sucked, sucked so much they were good enough to make the playoffs in a shitty conference. LOL , THEY ARE 17-30 SINCE THE DEAL aka, without Perry, 36% is not playoffs, that would be good for about the 7th pick, with Perry they were a playoff team, without him they are not, but Chip screwed up a bit and waited an extra day by not getting on, and then didnt look to deal his players at all, it was pretty obvious he was accepting at 7-6 when he hopped on, note me posting all that shit about improving my team or a team in the east getting better. Hell, dump Meka and I wouldnt be surprised to see the Sonics have gone 10-37 or so, not to mention the conference is going to be improvingNow add Perry Jones, they would have been a playoff contender for the next three seasons. A point you have yet to refute except by claiming three teams will be in their contract year so the West will magically not be as shitty but will still suck. They woulda had no shot at winning a title, that went out the window, not to mention Perry expires the year before that pick you own comes up, which is just a bit convenient for you, but wouldnt have been for Chip, not to mention the West being weak now doesnt mean it isnt going to improve, hell three lotto teams have to win next year, and that talent has to come from somewhere, if most of it is in the East, I would bet talent gets shipped West.
Bottom line is Chip would have had no shot at any sort of title, or contention at all, no shot at a #1 pick, nor would he have been able to deal for better players, since well, he had nothing of value outside Perry, GMing for middle of the road is stupid, something that of course you would recommend, why would somebody want to be at best a 47 win team, with no shot at a title for three seasons, when he had a chance to get his picks back plus....
