The mid-card actually got pops then too, and now they don't. It has more to do with the fact that it is kids watching now rather than a lot of adults. Cena is a better wrestler than the Rock and Hogan, and is as good as Austin was in his later days. Cena is the only guy on the roster who gets a huge reaction nightly. WWE has gone away from the sex, gore, ect. It is all kid friendly now. That's shit. Now they're just selling to kids and it's awful. |

PG has nothing to do with it. Cena-Batista, Punk-Hardy, Trips-Orton, all great feuds in the PG, it just comes down to the writers being motivated to make good storylines that the fans can become invested in.
Cena is the most talented person in the company. he has made Wade Barrett the biggest heel in the company in half a year, he fills the seats, he puts on 4 star matches. people just don't like him because he caters to the kids, which quite frankly is annoying.
