Strengths:[/u] A finisher in every sense of the word. Will score at the rim with authority. Very impressive inside scorer. Solid jump shot from about 14 to 16 feet. Good defender in the post and very quick on his feet. Should be able to guard both the 3 and 4. Good rebounder because of his athletic ability. Very impressive athlete for his size. Can probably jump higher than any other at his position. Weaknesses:[/u] No range past 16 feet. Needs to take better care of the ball and put some weight on. Scout's Take:[/u] There was speculation that McDyess would declare early, but scouts chalked it up to mere rumors. Now that he has officially hired an agent, the league is in a frenzy.
