Strengths:[/u] Solid post scorer and defender. Lots of size and athleticism. Pretty decent rebounder. Very strong post player. Weaknesses:[/u] Incredibly raw coming out of high school. Not a very good shooter, isn't smart with the ball, and tends to make very poor decisions. Needs to improve his defense if he hopes to be a good player at the next level. Scout's Take:[/u] You can't get more raw than Jermaine O'Neal. Scouts love his upside but are worried he may be overwhelmed if he jumps straight to UOSLR instead of going to college. Many scouts and college coaches alike are hoping he follows the footsteps of fellow South Carolinian, Kevin Garnett. Would be a top 10 pick solely on upside. Should be a better defender IMO I dunno man, 17 years old! yeah, but he's known mainly because of his shot-blocking ability. I guess your right, if he develops like he should, he'll get there. |

Yeah, he was an above average shot blocker but you also need to consider that in real life, he didn't even really play much until he was like 22. |
