If I had the team I would have kept his draft picks and made the playoffs. Look at the conference. The 2nd best team is 3 games above .500. This isn't rocket science. Why would you give up 4 firsts for Kemp when you could go address a need and hit up the Pistons and see what they want for 33 yr old Stockton or even a cheaper quick fix see what the Lakers want for Greg Anthony. The conference is much harder than it seems, the reason why both conferences have under .500 teams was because the Hornets and Grizzlies are likely to win 70+ games and considering I've yet to play either of them at the time and had a rather easy schedule. It would have been pretty close. As for getting Stockton or any other player in the league you want to mention, teams without draft picks (like the Pistons and Cavs) were reluctant to make moves that would send them into rebuilding without their pick. But you probably didn't figure that into your calculation did you? My calculations say if he continues to be at the bottom of the league, he isn't going to let Stockton rot while he still has some value so he is going to be a seller.

I would have thought the same for another GM here when I tried going for Robinson.

I posted a rebuilding block, so Stockton is obviously available

I would have thought the same for another GM here when I tried going for Robinson. I traded him to you. HOWEVER, you're a moron. You traded assets that didn't belong to you. You also didn't give me the pick that I was initially supposed to receive. Am I just supposed to accept your idiocy because you want it to happen?
