Do I? DO I? Shit, arroyo thinks I sound like a real loser. I'll have to tell my parents they did a poor job raising me. Shucks. Nope, you don't sound like a real loser, you are a real loser. And you don't have to tell your parents, they already know.

By the looks of things, he could have done without this trade and kept those firsts. The East is pretty poor and no reason he shouldn't make the playoffs. If I were Arroyo I'd be going after a PG rather than a big. Virtually he isn't going to get much better even if better production out of Kemp than he was out of McDyess. If he was looking for better depth I'm sure he could have found a nice bench player for a much cheaper price.
Arroyo had a serious amount of awesome draft picks I've now seen him squander to win now. I'm also fairly certain if he was a bit more patient he could find talent for a cheaper price. He seems to eager to deal his most prized picks.

Again, you have no idea how many trade attempts I tried to make or what draft picks people wanted.

I would have taken the pick and drafted Stack, Sheed, Z, Robinson, or whoever was available at the time. I then would have invested all the cap space I had and made a run at guys like Larry Johnson, Gary Payton, Rod Strickland, and Jimmy Jackson. JJ is probably better than Richmond and he is 6 years younger and he was very attainable. Even if you didn't land any of the top talent you'd still have a young guy + cap space to throw at people for win now talent. Last time I checked youth > vets in terms of the trade market. You also have to look at your conference and determine how much you have to do in order to make the playoffs. Its not like you have to sacrifice your entire future on this season. Its not championship or bust. You've done an ok job at assembling talent and your team is better than the day you took it over but you were set up with an arsenal of future draft picks and you've flushed most of them away for what Mitch Richmond, Tisdale, and Danilovic. Those contracts aren't desirable and they aren't getting better. Also Danilovic is the 3rd highest contract on your team and he plays 11mpg. Solid roster management there!

Again, that contract will be bought out in a few seasons and I had to prepare myself for injuries. Had I had the chance to rebuild, I wouldn't have made any trades. I went after Larry Johnson and even Karl Malone but Spencer was not interested in rebuilding, I went after Payton and was turned away with the same offer. Obviously the deal tmaczdaddy got at the end was much better. CSdude wasn't interested in giving away anyone outside of Strickland, Shaq and Houston and I did PM with him. Did not talk to the bullets about Jackson but I was told it is impossible to trade with that GM, anything else? Also, I still have draft picks in the future and still have youth on my roster. Not to mention people want boatloads for their stars. So again, you have no idea how man GM's I spoke to and what they wanted in return.

Ummm all those players I mentioned were free agents this past season and with thing called cap space you could have gotten them for free. I know its a crazy concept. Instead you clogged yourself up with Danilovic, Richmond, and Tisdale which preventing you from having space.
Also I don't get the point of trading away future firsts for a player who is on a 6 year deal who you have intentions of buying out eventually?!?!? Why even take him in the first place?
You could have maxed Jimmy Jackson which would have been slightly over paying but you would have had an amazing young core of talent and potential to continue to improve due to aging and through acquiring more talent via free agency and draft.
You don't need to offer a boatload for stars right now. Its not going to get you anywhere except dry in the well. Your team isn't poised for a run yet and all you have to do is make the playoffs in an inferior conference. Wait till people become sellers again and your gun is fully loaded. The draft classes upcoming are going to be stocked with talent.

Instead you clogged yourself up with Danilovic, Richmond, and Tisdale which preventing you from having space. Except they all resigned to their respective teams except for Jackson, where even teams that had cap space struck out. Relying on cap space to be competitive is poor GMming and considering my options were win now only to stay in this league, my options were limited. Obviously your bias is obvious since you would have preferred to take over the Bucks considering they were in CY. Only foolishly making the claim later that you didn't know as an excuse. Again, injuries always happen and I was in a situation where I had to win or else. And I didn't only trade for Predrag, I also traded for Richmond. So you have no idea what the trade was if you're narrowing it down to only one player. Had no intention of maxing a player that at the time was a subpar shooter and B defender. Kemp is 25, that is still young. If I was going to make a move to win, I would try to win the championship. I'm still talking to other GM's about trades but leave it to you to jump to your own conclusions, like you've done countless times.

I had no idea the bucks were in the contract year.
I also said even if you struck out in free agency, I think whoever you drafted plus the picks you had(I think you gave the spurs pick + grizzlies pick) would have more value than what Richmond and Danilovic have.
Also I'd rather try my hand in free agency first and then go and investigate acquiring a guy like Richmond who should have been much more available at this point in time. Cap space, young player, + futures sounds like more than a great offer for whoever had Richmond.
If you want to get back to Kemp, he is a nice player for sure. Again I'd rather keep my projected top 5 pick and get a guy who is on a 4 year rookie deal + the future lottos. You could have potentially traded Kobe + futures for Shawn Kemp. Also Kemp doesn't immediately help you on the court or financially for the future. Kemp is an older more expensive version of McDyess. Now you are set to hit the hard cap in 2 seasons right before Hill and McDyess are due to re-up. Great plan!
How about investigating a DC change to play someone else at PG or go and get a PG who is not so turnover prone. If you want my help I'll join you as an ast.

I have to say this: I don't think you needed Kemp at all to win 40.

I had no idea the bucks were in the contract year. I don't believe that for a second. I think you have other intentions. Big Z, PJ Brown & Stackhouse wouldn't have led me into the playoffs anymore than W's previous squad could have led him into the playoffs and he said he tried making the playoffs the previous year and failed. Again, relying on cap space in order to be competitive is like trying to win the lottery. If I had the ability to rebuild for one more season, I would have. I didn't have that luxury. Again, you jumped to conclusions by comparing apples to oranges, you're assuming I don't plan on making any more trades or moves anymore? You assume I'll be getting the number one pick? Kobe may not even come out or are you just that unfamiliar with how the system works which is sad considering you've been here longer than me. If you want you can be my ast, not forcing you. I'm willing to take critique as long as you don't have another agenda.
