The Grizzlies Rebound After Rough Start.
Thanks a lot to this man, for making this team a playoffs squad.
MEMPHIS, TN -- Just as soon as the Grizzlies fans began to lose hope, a man named Dominique Wilkins stepped up to the plate. Wilkins isn't a fan a losing, and started to gather his team together to make a very noticeable playoff run going into the All-Star Game period.
With the help of veteran Kevin McHale the Grizzlies where able to gradually sneak into the playoff standings. They have been on red hot fire lately only losing 2 out of there last 11 games. Which was outstanding considering how badly things where going before.
"I am extremely happy at the fresh new look of this team. This month has been great for us and hopefully we can continue this throughout the rest of the year," said Wilkins.
During a weekly practice after the All-Star Game we caught up with General Manager CWizz. He was busy, but didn't mind sharing some of this time with the public and the Memphis fans. This is what he had to say about the upcoming success, " I knew that in due time this team would come together. Though many doubted us, and maybe I might've made some poor choices in the past, though things will definitely work out for the best."
McHale who recently sustained an possible season ending injury, was helping Wilkins get the job down, by getting close to 10 boards per night. He also contributed specifically on defense with his top 10 in the league blocks per game.
Word is to expect second year player Stacey King to come out and fill the center spot. He recently participated in the Rookie vs. Sophomore game at the All-Star Weekend. He put up adequate numbers. He won't replace McHale but will help lower the tension of him being gone.
"I will work from the sidelines during this injury, don't expect it to keep me away from watching my team and seeing the games. I support this team hundred percent and hopefully i'll even go as far as retiring with them," this was announced at McHale's press conference after he obtained the injury.
Many fans and analyst where beginning to criticize General Manager CWizz style of running a team. He gave away all his 1sts for the next like million years and now they weren't even making the playoffs. People where starting to revolt and demand a new man be placed in charge. Though after this month I believe he might have his job secured again.[/color]
