Before the trade, the Hawks cut DeShawn Jordan and Ryan Bowen. So basically, do it after all those Blazer trades.
Hawks trade: Sam Cassell Vladimir Radmonovich Derek Fisher
for
Antwain Jamison Corey Maggette Mike Iuzzolino Vet Free Agent Vet Free Agent
I accept. Sure, why not? Vlad Rad is awesome, so losing him sucks. And yes, I have a SHIT ton of SFs (offer for them, they are available unless their name is Joe or DeJuan).
But yes. That's the plan. 5th worst team right now, so... that continues! Now that Cassell is gone, yeah. My team should hit the fan.

I like this for both. Jamison is a nice young pickup for ATL but Magic can't really do badly here as they get the best player in the deal. Nice trade.

Horrible for the Hawks.
Jamison is an FA after this season and won't be worth a max deal that some teams might offer if he doesn't resign.

And Cassell's expiring as well, duh. He's going to get paid max by someone stupidly, and when that happens, I'll laugh.

But I got Jamison as well...
Plus, this only improves my pick this year as well.

This was a tougher trade to pull the trigger on than the Wolves trade.
I actually liked what I saw from Magette this season, and he could develop. But ive had 20 guys who "could have developed" and cannot wait anymore. Also, with Houston, Magette wouldn't have seen much PT.
As for Jamison, he is an enigma to me. He's got rock solid abilities, and he does put up decent numbers, but i dont think he can ever be the #1 or #2 player on a team. Also, just like Marbury, he is a Free Agent, and I would not have paid him even close to the max. If he chose to walk, I would have been left with nothing.
Ive been trying to get a top PG for years, and Cassell plays well beyond his abilities.

My one worry is that Maggs without Brand is bad for Maggs. But Brand without Maggs means GREAT stuff for Brand. Remember the draft notes for Maggs?

If you run a fast outside offense with Cassell, Houston, Weidong and Parker all in a rotation you'll be laughing. Add to that playing Sheed at the 4 who can also hit the 3, you're good to go! Seriously don't think you should run with that balanced offense, but just my two cents.
