Centers
Yao Ming - Very good scorer. Solid rebounder, and decent defender. Can alter shots due to his size. Will be a franchise big man. A bit turnover prone and slow-footed. Very good upside.
Mario Kasun - Solid scorer and defender. Won't block many shots. Terrible rebounder. Good upside.
Dan Gadzuric - Good defender and solid shot-blocker. That's about it. Solid upside.
D.J. Mbenga - Big body in the paint. Will alter shots and get rebounds. Should be a useful bench player. Limited upside.
Power Forwards
Pau Gasol - Smart with the ball. Very good scorer. Decent jumpshot. Solid defender capable of blocking shots and an average rebounder. Very good upside.
Amare Stoudemire - Flashy finisher. Always finished with power at the rim. Not a polished scorer, but an outstanding athlete. Good shot-blocking ability but needs to work on rebounding. A bit turnover prone as well. Very good upside.
Nene Hilario - Very raw. Average scorer and defender, but an excellent rebounding. Very powerful player. Excellent upside.
Drew Gooden - Solid defender and rebounder. An improving scorer as well. Could possibly become a starter in the future. Good upside.
Luis Scola - Very crafty inside scorer. Solid rebounder, decent man defender. Not very smart with the ball. Solid upside.
Small Forwards
Andrei Kirilenko - Versatile player that has a lot of teams excited. Excellent defender with a knack for shot-blocking. Long arms helps create many turnovers. Offensive game is very raw. Excellent upside.
Caron Butler - Good slasher and good defender. Will create turnovers and can defend the opposing best player. Solid rebounder. Good upside.
Tayshaun Prince - Poor man's Andrei Kirilenko with a better outside shot. Very good man defender. Good upside.
Andres Nocioni - Good defender with a very good outside shot. Capable of hitting the three at high-percentages. Primarily a man-defender. Not impressive athletically. Good upside.
Shooting Guards
Jiri Welsch - Excellent stroke. Can hit a shot from anywhere on the court. Average defender. Doesn't do anything else well. Good upside.
Juan Dixon - Multi-talented guard capable of playing both positions. Good outside shot and solid all-around skills. Questionable work ethic. Solid upside.
John Salmons - Much like Dixon, capable of playing multiple positions, even a bit of Small Forward. Talented scorer that can also initiate the offense. Solid upside.
Juan Carlos Navarro - Good shooter with some decent ball-handling ability. Doesn't possess the court vision necessary to play point. Needs to improve defensively. Rest of game is underdeveloped. Very good upside.
Point Guards
Jay Williams - Talented point guard that does just about everything well. Smart with the ball, good scorer, and a very good defender. Dangerous hobby of motorcycle riding. Very good upside.
Dan Dickau - Good court vision and a good outside shot. No defense to speak of whatsoever. Worse than Steve Nash. Solid upside.
Jannero Pargo - Incredible shooter. Not much else to mention. Solid upside.
Smush Parker - Slasher. Turnover prone, not a good passer, no jumpshot, average defender. Solid upside.
