Heres a look at the Eastern Conference and whats been going on this offseason I hope I got most of it right, if not consider it a typo hehehe..
*Atlantic Division*
*Boston Celtics*
*Additions*:
Kirk Hinrich (4th pick via trade with Nuggets)
Matt Bonner (38th pick)
Troy Bell (41st pick)
*Subtractions:*
Jerome James (FA)
Scott Pollard (Suns)
Jeff Foster (Lakers)
Olumide Oyedeji (Hawks)
Qyntel Woods (FA)
Milt Palacio(FA)
Channing Fryre (10th pick trade with Nuggets)
Luke Ridnour (20th pick via trade with Nuggets )
2005 1st* (Celtics 1st via trade with Nuggets)
*Projected Starting Line Up*:
PG -Kirk Hinrick
SG - Matt Barnes
SF - Andres Nocioni
PF - Matt Bonner
C - Louis Scola
The Celtics came into the offseason with 2 lottery picks going into the draft. They proceeded to trade the 2 picks and the Nuggets 05 pick for the 4th pick in the draft, that being Kirk Hinrich. They
also had Matt Bonner and Troy Bell sign with the Celtics after being drafted in the 2nd round. When this came to print, they only had 10 players on their roster and have a very young look to their team. Hinrich will be asked to take the reigns straight away and will lead this young team through what looks to be a tumoultuous year. Andres Nocioni and fellow Argentinian return to help the top pick and Im assuming either Barnes or Qrich could start at SG. Bonner looks like the starter at PF for now, but I think he wont be there come the start of the season.
*Miami** Heat*
*Additions:*
Calvin Booth (re-signed)
Johnny Schmaltz (re-signed)
Igor Rakocevic (Re-signed)
Dee Brown (re-signed)
Antonio Daniels (via FA)
William Avery (via FA)
Robert Pack (re-signed)
Eduardo Najera (re-signed)
*Subtractions:*
Fred Hoiberg (FA)
Angel George (Trailblazers)
*Projected Starting Line Up*:
PG -Bobby Sura
SG - Kobe Bryant
SF -Ron Mercer
PF -Mehmet Okur
C - Dale Davis
The Miami Heat return with their roster virtually intact. The only two players not returning are Hoiberg ( who was last season distracting Bulls at the rodeo) and Angel George ( who has since signed with the Blazers). The Heat will be looking at returning to the playoffs and hopefully getting further than the 2nd round exit last season at the hands of the Bucks. They will be lead once again by their superstar Kobe Bryant and his back court running mate Bobby Sura. Ron Mercer looks likey to get the start at SF with his stellar play in preseason and they will be looking for more help from Mehmet Okur and Samuel Dalembert if they are to seriously trouble the top teams of the East. They have a glutton of PGs, SFs and could look at dealing one of them for a PF or C. Only time will tell...
*New Jersey** Nets*
*Additions:*
Dion Glover (re-signed)
Tayshaun Prince (via trade with the Lakers)
DeSagana Diop (Via Trade with the Lakers)
Jazz 2004 1st Rounder (Via Trade with the Lakers)
Nuggets 2004 1st Rounder (Top 2 Protection via LAL/DEN Deal) (Via Trade with the Lakers)
Nets 2004 1st rounder (Via Trade with the Lakers)
Knicks 2005 1st Rounder (Via Trade with the Lakers)
Clifford Robinson (via Trade with Bullets)
Hu Weidong (via Trade with Bullets)
Jason Richardson (via Trade with Bullets)
Bullets 2004 1st (via Trade with Bullets)
*Subtractions:*
Priest Lauderdale (Hawks)
Juwon Howard (Jazz)
Antonio Daniels (Heat)
Chauncey Billups (via trade with the Lakers)
Jalen Rose (via Trade with Bullets)
Zydrunas Ilgauskas (via Trade with Bullets)
*Projected Starting Line Up:*
PG - Jerry Stackhouse
SG -Jason Richardson
SF - Hu Weidong
PF - Clifford Robinson
C - Desagnia Diop
The New Jersey Nets have had a busy offseason of late, they have made 2 bigtime trades and by the looks of his trade block, Broph doesnt look like stopping. First of all he shipped of Chauncey Billups for Tayshaun Prince, Diop and a host of picks. Diop and Prince had solid if not spectacular preseasons, they will be expected to improve in the coming seasons or find themselves on a plane to another city. The next deal was moving Jalen Rose and Illgauskas to the Bullets for CRob, Hu Weidong and Jason Richardson. Jason Richardson looks like a star of the future and showed it in preseason with 20pts, 6 rebs and 3 assts. Stackhouse is the only holdover starter from last season returning and will have a new cast of teamates to get used to. He will have to do it quick, cause he is looking the starting PG for the Nets this season and from what his preseason results show, hes not a bad choice..
*New York** Knicks*
*Additions:*
Wang Zhizhi (re-signed)
Manu Ginobilli(trade with Pistons)
Francisco Elson (via FA)
Troy Hudson (via FA)
Chucky Atkins (via FA)
*Subtractions:*
Dalibor Bagaric
Shawn Marion (Twolves)
Jerome Williams (Blazers)
Moochie Norris (FA)
Bruce Bowen (trade with Pistons)
James Posey(trade with Pistons)
Charlie Bell(trade with Pistons)
NY 06 1st(trade with Pistons)
*Projected Starting Line Up*:
PG -Travis Best
SG -Manu Ginobilli
SF - Richard Jefferson
PF -Amare Stoudamire / Marcus Camby
C -Wang Zhizhi
Last years Eastern Conference finalists return this season with one significant ommision. DB was noticeably upset when Shawn Marion decided to sign with the TWolves this season, and he had every right.. Marion had another great season last year averaging 26 pts, 8 rebs and 4 assts for the Knicks. With him gone, the Knicks had to find a replacement for Marion, and that person was Manu Ginobili from the Detroit Pistons. The Pistons signed Manu in FA and traded the Argentinian for Bowen, Posey, Bell and a 1st round pick. Manu hasnt had the chance to show his true ability but after a very good TC, he will get that chance. The projected starting lineup looks very good with Travis Best, Manu, RJeff, Amare Stoudamire and Wang Zhizhi providing the fire power to get the Knicks back to the playoffs. Depth maybe a problem if someone gets injured, with Camby and Atkins being their most notable bench players. Very promising season ahead for the Knicks and a return to the playoffs.
*Orlando** Magic*
*Additions:*
Elton Brand (re-signed)
Alln Houston (re-signed)
Anthony Parker (via trade with Hornets)
Peter Fehse (via trade with Hornets)
Sharone Wright (VIA fa)
Mikki Moore (via FA)
*Subtractions:*
George McCleod (retired)
Evan Eschmeyer (FA)
Shawn Respert (Bullets)
Eric Piatkowski (FA)
Mike Wilks (FA)
Mike Iuzzolino (FA)
Theo Ratliff (via trade with Hornets)
2004 ORL 1st (via trade with Hornets)
*Projected Starting Line Up:*
PG -Sam Cassell
SG -Allan Houston
F -Donyell Marshall
PF -Rasheed Wallace
C - Elton Brand
The Orlando Magic enter the new season with the same SL as last season and the re-aquisition of Anthony Parker. On paper this team should be a lock for top 4 team in the East with its current roster. They managed to re-sign Elton Brand and Allan Houston before the season ended and acquired Parker for Ratliff and a 1st. A somewhat quiet off season but the Magic managed to do what they wanted and that was get Parker , Houston and Brand back for the new year. Donyell Marshall looks solid and will team up with Sheed and Brand in the front court. Judging by their preseason, Marshall, Houston and Cassell will be the key players for the Magic and will need to be at their best if they are to beat the likes of the Bucks, Bulls, Heat and Knicks..
*Philadelphia** 76ers*
*Additions:*
Zarko Cabarkapa (44th pick)
Penny Hardaway (re-signed)
Darrick Martin (re-signed)
Dragan Tarlac (re-signed)
John Wallace (FA)
*Subtractions:*
Brevin Knight (Hornets)
Kenny Satterfield (FA)
*Projected Starting Line Up*:
PG -Penny Hardaway
SG - Stephen Jackson
SF - Jim Jackson
PF -Jermaine Oneal
C - Pat Burke
The 76ers are a club in turmoil, Maniac ( their Gm) had to retire due to unforeseen circumstances and their new one TMacdaddy ( welcome) has come in to take over but has had to serve out a punishment for misdemeanors from his time in Seattle. The good thing is that they have their core from last season returning this year and they will be looking at getting into the top 8 this year!! Much will fall on the young shoulders of Jermaine Oneal and Stephen Jackson this year with Penny and Jackson providing support. Dragan Tarlac will be key fot the 76ers as he is their best inside scorer and may even unseat Pat Burke for the starting nod at C. If preseason is anything to go by, Id go with Burks 13 rebs and 3.5 blocks lol.
*Washington** Bullets*
*Additions:*
Vlade Divac (re-signed)
Chris Herren (re-signed)
Jamal Magloire (re-signed)
Andrew Lang (re-signed)
Terrell Brandon (re-signed)
Jalen Rose (via Trade with Nets)
Zydrunas Ilgauskas (via Trade with Nets)
Shawn Respert (VIA FA)
Marco Anthony (re-signed)
Shammond Williams (re-signed)
*Subtractions:*
Clifford Robinson (via Trade with Nets)
Hu Weidong (via Trade with Nets)
Jason Richardson (via Trade with Nets)
Bullets 2004 1st (via Trade with Nets)
*Projected Starting Line Up:*
PG -Terrell Brandon
SG -Jalen Rose
SF - Tracey Mcgrady
PF-Jamal Magloire
C - Zydrunas Illgauskas
The Bullets enter their contract year and have to win. So Donatello goes out and gets players in who can help him either get to the playoffs or achieve 40 wins this season. He managed to re-sign morst of his roster in the offseason and then bought in Ilgauskas and Jalen Rose for Hu Weidong, Jason Richardson and CRob. Chances are Jalen will start at PG this season but I went with the incumbant in Terrell Brandon going in 1st. Jalen Rose and TMac will be a very formidable combo and tough to guard. Magloires emergence in the offseason could see him take the starting spot from Vlade at the PF spot, only time will tell. Big Z had very good preseason averaging a double double, all he needs is someone to help him at PF and he wont tire himself out. Good luck Don for the season!!
*Central Division*
*Atlanta** Hawks*
*Additions:*
Derek Fisher (re-signed)
Stanley Roberts (re-signed)
Felton Spencer (re-signed)
Priest Lauderdale (via FA)
Kresimir Loncar ( via FA)
Olumide Oyedeji (via FA)
*Subtractions:*
Lionel Simmons (Kings)
*Projected Starting Line Up*:
PG - Steve Nash
SG - Dajuan Wagner
SF - Shareef Abdur Rahim
PF - Stanley Roberts
C - Michael Olowkandi
The Atlanta Hawks will go as far as Steve Nash will take them. They had a very solid preseason with Priest Lauderdale starting at PF and using his big frame to abuse people down low. 18 pts and 14 rebs is monstrous and Chipper has had to sit up and take notice, whether he will is entirely up to him Shareef looks good at SF and Dajuan Wagner will have a chance to shine at SG this season playing alongside Nash and being tutored by Steve Smith. Olowkandi will be the anchor down low and if Lauderdale gets a chance to start, should make for a very crowded post!!
*Charlotte** Hornets:*
*Additions:*
Raja Bell (re-signed)
Emeka Okafor (3rd pick)
David West (13th pick)
Carlos Delfino (18th pick)
Aleksandar Pavlovic (19th pick)
Nick Collison (23rd pick)
Jason Kapono (32 pick)

Spurs 05 1st (lotto protected, 06 unprotected) (via trade with Grizz)
Christian Laettner (RE-signed)
Elden Campbell (via trade with Blazers)
bREVin Knight (via FA)
*Subtractions:*
AJ Guyton (via trade with Grizz)
Cavs 04 1st (via Trade with Grizz)
Cavs 06 1st (Via Trade with Grizz)
Anthony Parker (via trade with Magic)
Peter Fehse (via trade with Magic)
Reggie Evans (FA)
Cal Bowdler (FA)
Tunji Awojobi (FA)
Marcus Taylor (FA)
2nd round pick 13 ( via trade with Spurs
2nd round pick 19 (via trade with Spurs
Udonis Haslem (via trade with Blazers)
Raja Bell (via trade with Blazers)
Smush Parker (via trade with Blazers)
*Projected Starting Line Up*:
PG -Juan Carlos Navarro
SG -Carlos Delfino
SF -Michael Finley
PF - Emeka Okafor
C - David West
Dont expect the Hornets to make any noise this season with their current roster. What you can expect is a big offseason next year and all the noise being made then. The Hornets have 6 rookies and 2 2nd year players on their roster to go with Christian Laettner, Theo Ratliff and Elden Campbell to start the season with. They also have a host of picks this year that could net them more talent in next years draft. Looking at what they have on their roster now, they have a talented front court duo in Emeka Okafor and David West who were the most UOSLR ready players from the crop that came into the league this year. Both had solid preseasons with Juan Carlos Navarro and Carlos Delfino also playing well. They may not do well this season but the youngsters will be better off for it!!
*Chicago** Bulls:*
*Additions:*
Ignacio Rodriguez (re-signed)
Adrian Griffin(re-signed)
Tommy Smith (55th pick)
Billy Owens (VIA fa)
Harold Miner (via FA)
Kurt Thomas (Via FA)
Eurelijus Zukauskas (via FA)
*Subtractions: *
Douglas Schenk (FA)
Shawn Bradley (FA)
BJ Tyler (FA)
Rod Strickland ( Pistons)
Charles Barkley (retired)
*Projected Starting Line Up:*
PG -Ignacio Rodriguez
SG -Etienne Preira
SF - Peja Stojakovic
PF - Alejandro Camby
C - Dikembe Mutumbo
The Bulls will be looking to rebound from their first round defeat at the hands of the Heat!! They have their core returning this season with the re-signing of Rodriguez and Griffin and the strengthening of their roster depth by signing Billy Owens, Harold Miner and Kurt Thomas. This is a very strong looking team and if they can stay healthy could look at competing for the top spot in the league. Everything hinges on Preira, who is prob the best player to play in this league and once is all said and done, the best player to have played in the UOSLR. If this team can stay healthy, everyone look out!!
*Cleveland** Cavs*
*Additions:*
Kerry Kittles (re-signed)
Keith McCleod (46th pick)
Cavs 04 1st (via Trade with Grizz by way of Hornets)
Cavs 06 1st (Via Trade with Grizz by way of Hornets))
Josh Howard (12th pick via trade with Clippers, then traded to the Cavs)
Carlos Arroyo (trade with the Grizz)
*Subtractions:*
Tim Duncan ( via trade with Grizz)
William Avery (Heat)
Eric Chenowith (FA)
Aaron Williams (Blazers)
Danny Fortson (FA)
*Projected Starting Line Up*:
PG - Kenny Anderson
SG - Nick Anderson
SF –Josh Howard
PF –Joe Smith
C - Ben Wallace
The Cleveland Cavs come in with a new Gm, new look roster and a new lease on life. That is, life without Tim Duncan!!! Duncan didnt know whether he was coming or going this offseason with trades being posted then vetoed then posted again. He has however been traded and the Cavs can get on with their season. Josh Howard comes into the organisation with a chance to be the star. He is teamed up with Joe Smith, Ben Wallace, Nick and Kenny Anderson. This is still a very talented team, but without Duncan they lose a very talented player. Somehow I dont think the Cavs have finished wheeling and dealing.
*Detroit** Pistons*
*Additions:*
Bruce Bowen (trade with Knicks)
James Posey(trade withKnickss)
Charlie Bell(trade with Knicks)
NY 06 1st(trade with Knickss)
Rod Strickland (via FA)
Todd MacCulloch (re-signed)
Ron Artest (re-signed)
*Subtractions:*
Manu Ginobilli (Trade with Knicks)
Michael Jordan (retired)
Luc Longley (Nuggets)
Amal McKaskill (who cares lol)
Robert Traylor (FA)
PoP Eye Jones (FA)
Jeff Webster (Kings)
Billy Owens (Bulls)
Kendrick Brown (Raptors)
Ric Brunson (FA)
Roberto Martin (FA)
Brian Cook (47th pick waived)
*Projected Starting Line Up*:
PG - Tony Parker
SG - James Posey
SF - Ron Artest
PF -Nazr Mohammed
C -Todd MacCulloch
The Pistons have to do it all without MJ this season and they might do it tough. They do have a nice young core to go into the season with, Tony Parker, Ron Artest and Nazr Mohammed being the stand out players on this roster. The Pistons managed to re-sign Ron Artest in the offseason and traded Manu Ginobilli away for Bruce Bowen, James Posey a pick and cap flexibility for the future. They have a promising future and 4 years to make the necessary roster moves to make their team a very good playoff team. Tony Parker looks like a very good PG this year and will provide a great compliment to Nazr and Ron Artest.
*Indiana** Pacers:*
*Additions:*
Darko Milicic (7th pick)
Carl English (36th pick)
Nick Van Exel (via FA)
*Subtractions:*
Gheorge Muresan (Kings)
Jonathan Bender (FA)
Harvey Grant (FA)
Jerome Kersey (retired)
Derek Anderson (FA)
Jason Terry (Raptors)
Jason Hart
*Projected Starting Line Up:*
PG - Jamal Tinsley
SG -Nick Van Exel
SF -Hedo Turkoglu
PF Darko Milici
C -Brendan Haywood
The Pacers had the 7th pick in this years draft, taking a chance on Darko Milicic. Time will tell how this will fare, in another parallel universe, Darko was left on the bench to rot, somehow I dont think the Pacers will be doing that with their youngster. Turkoglu and Tinsley are their main players and the Pacers will be looking to these two youngsters to lead the way this year. Preseason results show that they have the talent and tenacity to do so. The big question is will they be ready to wait for the rest of the team to catch up?
*Milwaukee** Bucks*
*Additions:*
Ruben Patterson (re-signed)
Luke Walton (29th pick)
Robert Horry (via FA)
*Subtractions:*
PJ Brown (FA)
Tony Meyers (retired)
Jeff Noordgard (FA)
*Projected Starting Line Up*:
PG - Allen Iverson
SG - Ray Allen
SF - Grant Hill
PF - Eddie Griffin
C - Antonio Mcdyess
This lineup has been together for a long time and have just started reaping the rewards of their hard work. By keeping them together Krup has seen his team go to the UOSLR Finals and win it all. This year the return with the roster intact and look very strong. They had a very nice preseason going 13-2 and having great returns from Hill, Allen, Iverson and Dyess. This team is very scary and comes into the new season as the team to beat. Sometimes doing nothing to a roster can be the best thing one can do. This may be the case for the Bucks!!!
*Toronto** Raptors*
*Additions:*
Steve Francis (re-signed)
Jameer Nelson (6th pick)
Michael Sweetney (24th pick)
Jarvis Hayes (35th pick)
Jason Terry (via FA)
Korleone Young ( via FA)
Devean George (via FA)
Kendrick Brown (via FA)
Greg Ostertag (Via FA)
Antoine Walker (re-signed)
*Subtractions:*
Hakeem Olajuwon (retired)
Mikki Moore (Magic)
Ed O`bannon (Warriors)
JR Rider ( Spurs)
Joel Montross (Lakers)
Rex Chapman (retired)
Gary Payton (retired)
Projected Lineup
PG- Jameer Nelson
SG-Steve Francis
SF-Devean George
PF-Carlos Boozer
C- Nene
The Raptors managed to re-sign Francis cheaply this offseason and draft Jameer Nelson as the 6th pick in the draft. They also had Michael Sweetney at 24, who had a very solid preseason and looks nice as a back up bigman. They managed to sign Jason Terry, George, Young, Brown and Otag as depth for the upcoming season. Jarvis Hayes had a solid TC and Nene looks to be making decent strides in becoming a solid big man and Boozer looks like his development has stalled, but Im hoping this is just a minor set back. This may be another long season for the Raptors, unless their youngsters can find a way to win some games this year.
Thanks for your time, Saga etc signing out!!!
*Atlantic Division*
*Boston Celtics*
*Additions*:
Kirk Hinrich (4th pick via trade with Nuggets)

2005 1st* (Celtics 1st via trade with Nuggets)
*Projected Starting Line Up*:
PG -Kirk Hinrick

*Subtractions:*
Hakeem Olajuwon (retired)
Mikki Moore (Magic)
