Cleveland Cavaliers: Dwight Howard
The only thing the Cavs have going for them is SF Josh Howard. The Cavaliers would take Dwight Howard with the #1 overall. Howard is going to be a dominate PF/C, and the best player in this draft. He is a great rebounder and shot blocker, and is very athletic. His offensive game is raw, but with his potential it will improve. Howard is going to be the Cavs franchise player, and should put up great numbers his rookie season.
Charlotte Hornets: Carmelo Anthony
The Hornets have a great, young frountcourt with Diaw, West and Meka. The Hornets would want to go with a shooting guard with this pick, but the best shooting guard in this draft is Kevin Martin. Martin isn’t worth a #2 pick, so I see the Hornets drafting Melo and turning him into a shooting guard, or trading a down, and drafting Devin Harris. If the Hornets do select Melo he will be their #1 option, and with a decent TC from Melo and the rest the Hornets could be able to nab a #8 seed.
Vancouver Grizzlies: Chris Bosh
The Grizzlies already have a sick team that could have easily made the playoffs. The Grizzlies decided to tank this year, by signing the worst possible free agents to fill out their team. The only position the Grizz need is a power forward. Chris Bosh would be a great fit with this team. He does everything you would want your PF to do, he scores, rebounds and defends. Bosh is also able to step out of the key and hit a jumper. With Bosh on board the Grizzlies could be fighting for a #1 seed in the West.
New Jersey Nets: Devin Harris
The Nets already have a sick SF in JRich, but they are weak at every other position. The Nets would go with Devin Harris here. Harris is the most NBA ready point guard in this draft. He can do it all pass, drive to the hoop, step out for the three, and defend. Harris is the most complete guard in the draft since Penny.
San Antonio Spurs: Al Jefferson
The Spurs have solid prospects at the 1, 3 and 4, but they still should go with Al Jefferson here. The Spurs should move Perkins to center, and have Al at PF. Jefferson is great rebounder, and a solid scorer. He has to work on his defense, and athleticism. Jefferson has a couple of good post moves already, so he doesn't have to work that Mo Williams isn't a true PG. If they want Jefferson to ever become a 20+ ppg scorer they have to move Mo to the 2, and bring in a legit point guard. The Spurs might go with Iggy here, but I don't think they want to take a chance on another James White.
Boston Celtics: Josh Smith
The only bright spot on the Celtics roster is PG Kirk Hinrich. The Celtics need help at every other position. The Celtics should go with Josh Smith here. Smith is a stud shot blocker even though he is a SF. Smith will also be able to grab 8rpg from the 3 spot. He is also extremely athletic. He still has to work on his three point shooting and jump shot. Smith will get most of his points from his ability to finish at the rim, but right now he is very one dimensional. With a couple IT's and articles put into Smith he can become a great player.
Milwaukee Bucks(From Seattle Supersonics): Andre Iguodala
The Bucks already have a competing team, and now they also get the #5 pick. The Bucks don't need help at any position, so they take the BPA here. Andre Iguodala is a similar player to Smith, but is older and is said to have less upside. Igoudala will provide a spark of the bench with his ability to finish at the hoop. Iggy is most known for his tenacious defense. Iggy is sure to cause a few turnovers a game. Iggy will be the 6th man for Bucks backing up the PG, SG and SF.
Toronto Raptors: Kevin Martin
The Raptors have a pretty good young team. Nene and Boozer look like to be a good duo in the post, and they have Jameer Nelson feeding them the ball. The Raptors select Kevin Martin. Martin could challenge Melo for the best scorer in this draft. On the Raptors Martin would be able to put up 20ppg or even more. The only knock on Martin is his atrocious defense. The Raptors might want to forget about his defense, and put the IT's and articles they use on him to his scoring.
New Jersey Nets(From Utah Jazz): Loul Deng
The Nets have another lotto pick in this loaded draft. The Nets chose Devin Harris with the #3 pick, and here they select Loul Deng. The Nets will move JRich to the 2 spot, and have Deng starting at the 3. Deng is a lot like Smith/Iggy, only being a little less athletic. Deng doesn't have a good three point shot, so he will have to work on that. He is decent at driving to the rim, but you won't see him putting up his numbers scoring wise. Deng is a great defender and rebounder. Every team could use a player like Deng.
Golden State Warriors: TJ Ford
The Warriors decided to rebuild midseason in what seems like it could be the best draft in UOSLR history. The Warriors already have Tyson Chandler and Joe Johnson, so they should go with a point guard. Warriors would go with Ford. Ford is the quickest/fastest player in this draft, and that helps him go around defenders and drive to the hoop. Ford definitely needs to work on his shooting though. With fords quickness comes many steals. On the defensive end Ford can be compared to Allen Iverson. With Frankie King coming off the books for the Warriors, Ford should start, and will make a positive impact on the Warriors.
Los Angeles Clippers: Andris Biedrins
The Clippers are another sick team that has a lotto pick. The Clippers are boasting a big three that contains Arenas, Granger and Yao with a promising Barbosa as point guard. The Clippers would want to go with a power forward, but there aren't any left worthy this pick. So the Clippers go with Andris Biedrins, and convert him into a PF. Biedrins isn't a scorer, but he is a rock solid defender and rebounder. Biedrins still has plenty of time to improve his scoring. He will be the defensive anchor for the Clippers.
Detroit Pistons: Ben Gordon
The Pistons have a good team, but they are in desperate need of a center. With no centers available that are worthy of this pick, the Pistons go with Ben Gordon. Gordon is the best shooter in this draft. Gordon has solid handles and at times is able to drive to the basket. Gorden has to definitely work on his defense, but his scoring ability should offset his below average defense.
Indiana Pacers: Shaun Livingston
The Pacers have some good players in Hedo, Tinsley and Darko, but the rest of their team is terrible. The Pacers should go with Shaun Livingston. Teams are always intrigued by a 6'7 PG, and the Pacers will take a chance on him. Livingston would not start immediately, but he will replace Tinsley as their starting pg in his second year or third year. Lvingston has amazing handles and passing, and a knack to get to the hoop. Livingston really has to work on his shooting because if he develops his shooting he will be unstoppable. PG's would not be able guard him because he will be able to shoot over them, and he will also be able to drive the ball to the net.
