Man needed to make a contract year, that usually behooves you make moves to stay on. Saga seemed steadfast in his belief that he could make it with his current roster. He turned down a deal to get Kidd, which in turn made marty trade him to NY. |

nelson, childress, 3 1sts > wagner, 3 1sts nelson has shown nothing that proves he will ever be a starting PG in this league unless you put incredible work to his handles, which you more than likely will not do because you didn't with Wagner. Nelson, at best, will be a good combo guard which there are tons of in this league. Childress is a bench player at this point and time and I don't see him getting significantly better either. If you offered me Nelson, Childress, and 3 1sts for Wagner I would definitely not do that, and if he offered me that for Dirk I would definitely not do it. I got what I wanted for Dirk, a super stud youth and 3 future picks. Nelson and Childress will never be as good as Wagner. |
