Key match-up: Brad Daugherty vs. Robert Parish
Injuries: None
Can the Kings continue their run deeper into the playoffs? No. After squeaking out a game seven victory versus the Rockets the Kings are just plain tired. With an aging starting five and uninspiring basketball from Magic Johnson they will be lucky to force a game seven in this one. Two wins is not a lofty goal for this Kings squad, but it is very unlikely that they can pull out three or four wins to advance. With the guard play of Stockton and Curry, and the imposing front court of Daugherty and Rodman, the Warriors look poised to advance to the Western Conference finals.
Prediction: Warriors in six
2. San Antonio Spurs
vs.
3. Seattle Supersonics
Key match-up: Patrick Ewing and co. vs. Roy Tarpley and co.
Injuries: None
Can the big men on the Spurs dominate this match-up? Or will it be Roy Tarpley, Will Perdue, and co. who steal the show? Even though this series will be won in the paint, the guards from either team should create an interesting side story. Both teams boast younger guards that can shoot, handle the rock, and play solid defense. This should be an exciting series and it truly is a toss up. However, based on most recent performances, I will tip my hat to the Spurs who closed out their last series with four straight wins.
