I'm not going to make it. Building around Parker was a mistake. I told Ashes a while back that my chances of making it through were slim to none. I'll stick it through the season though.

meh, you only missed it by 7 games last season, but the East weakened some more and you have some young players that you could get A: value for, or B: could turn into just enough to get you by. Trading Martell would definitely get you there....and Ben Gordon looks a bit like Michael Redd

Thanks for the luck, I prefer not to mortgage the future but I'll see what happens, if I'm crazy enough I might. It isn't like I'm void of any talent they're just underdeveloped and all play SG/SF.  |

I know I was allowed to stay on. However, is my condition for staying on means I have to win 40 or make the playoffs next season?
I would have generally have no problem with such a condition and be thankful for such a chance. However, I gained no ground in my attempt to win 40 the last three seasons where I had won between ~30-37 games. Coming short each time made each attempt more frustrating.
I don't think it's right for the franchise to go through another set back of a GM trying to win 40 or make the playoffs. Sometimes it's best for the team to go and rebuild after three unsuccessful tries. I would completely understand if the league would rather go to another GM to rebuild the team because I could not make my contract year.
Regardless of the decision, I'm happy I had the chance to be here.
