Position: Forward Height: 6-9 Weight: 215 lbs. Born: September 29, 1988 in Washington, District of Columbia High School: Montrose Christian School in Rockville, Maryland College: University of Texas at Austin Overview: Kevin Durant was the 2007 National College Player of the Year. He was also the 06-07 Big 12 Player of the Year. Scout.com rated Durant 2nd overall and the top small forward prospect in his High School class. He is nicknamed Durantula due to his extensive reach and long wingspan which reach 7’5”. Strengths: Durant is an extremely good scorer. He has guard type skills in a near 6-10 frame. He can go to the rim, pull up for a jumper or bomb from long range. He can handle the ball very well. He has insanely good scoring upside as well. Just so much talent, his upside is limitless. Weaknesses: While his length may eventually make him a plus type defender, he just doesn’t have those skills yet. His defensive game is so far behind his offensive game, but mostly because his offensive game is so advanced. Could become a plus shot blocker because of his amazing length but right now he’s just a mediocre defender.
