Ok heres a look at how this years Rookies are going!!! Take a wee gander and dont take anything to heart!! I could be wrong lol
FIRST ROUND:
----------------------------------------------
1 New York Knicks -
Perry Jones SF 6'11'' 230 20 B C+ C B B- A
Perry Jones SF 6'11'' 230 20 B+ B C A- B- A
New York moved up in the lotto from the 7th spot to number 1 overall, much to the displeasure of the other GMs, especially the Nets, who had the projected #1 pick going into the lottery. DB made no hesitation when he selected Perry Jones with the top pick in the draft. He had a TC that made him one of the best young players in the league and came out of the gates firing on all cylinders. He leads his young team in scoring and steals. He is averaging 35 mins, 23 pts, 7 rebs, 2 assts, 1 stl and has already taken out the years 1st two rookie of the month awards . This is only his rookie year so things look good for the Knicks franchise with Perry leading the way.
Best game:
Day 22 Vs Warriors : 25 pts (10-19), 8 rebs, 7 assts and 1 stl
Worst Game:
Day 35 Vs Bulls: 15 pts (4-15), 2 rebs,3 assts,3 turnovers.
2 - Seattle Supersonics (Traded to the Lakers) -
Avery Bradley PG 6'2'' 180 21 B+ C C B+ D+ A
Avery Bradley PG 21 6'2'' 180 B+ C C A- D+ B
Seattle tried desperately to trade this pick before his time ran out but couldnt find any takers. So he proceeded to pick Avery Bradley from Texas. Not long after the draft, Bradley was traded to the Lakers that sent himself, Jared Sullinger and Corey Brewer in exchange for Dwight Howard and Carlos Delfino. The Lakers are in a rebuilding phase and have chosen to build around Avery. He has been moved to the SG position alongside Willie Warren and isnt disappointing his new owner averaging 12 pts, 3 asst, 3 rebs and 2 stls a game. With Nelson now gone, Avery has sole ownership of this team!!!
Best game
Day 27 vs TWolves : 20 pts(8-13), 5 assts, 5 rebs, 1 stl
Worst game:
Day 18 vs Blazers: 31 mins, 7 pts (2-9), 4 rebs, 2 assts, 2 TOs
3 - Toronto Raptors –
Trey Thompkins PF 6'9'' 245 21 B C C- C+ C+ A
Trey Thompkins PF 21 6'9'' 245 B C C B- B A
Next up Trey Thompkins was selected 3rd and had a great TC for the Raptors. Going into the regular season, the Raptors were excited to see what this youngster could do. SNAP!! He goes down with Patella Tendinitis and sat out 50 days after playing in the 1st 3 games of the season. Time will only tell if this will hurt his development. During those 3 games he averaged 8 pts, 9 rebs and 2 assts. Lets hope he hasn’t died altogether..
Best game:
Day 2 vs 76ers: 16 pts (6-10), 10 rebs, 1 blk
Worst game:
Day 3 vs Mavs: GOT INJURED
4 - New Jersey Nets –
Josh Selby SG 6'1'' 180 19 B+ C+ C B- D A
Josh Selby SG 19 6'2'' 180 B+ B- C B D+ A
The Nets slipped from possible number 1 to the 4th pick in the draft. Broph then picked Josh Selby out of Kansas and hopes this youngster can lead the Nets to the promised land. During the offseason he grew and inch and improved his outside shooting, def and reb. He started off the season as their starting SG but has lost that job to Xavier Henry and is now a 3rd string PG/SG.. He has been put on the trade block as the Nets look for a PF that can help them in the post. And whaddya know!! Selby was traded before sim days 36-45 to the Hornets for Millsap and Joel Pryzbilla. After the sim, the Hornets GM was rejoicing in the acquisition, stating “Selby was sick...and we lost all our games. Beautiful” and averaged 19.4 pts and 3 rebs a game during that period.
Best game as a Net:
Day 13 vs Rockets: 35 mins, 19 pts (7-14), 7 assts, 5 rebs
Worst game as a Net:
Day 33 vs Hawks: 30 mins, 7 pts (2-12), 3 turnovers, 3-8 FT shooting
Best game as a Hornet:
Day 44 vs Magic: 36 mins, 27 pts (9-15), 5 rebs, 3 stls, 1 asst
Worst game as a Hornet:
Day 45 vs Pistons: 34 mins, 10pts (4-17), 4 rebs, 2 assts, 1 TO
5 - Cleveland Cavaliers -
Jordan Hamilton SF 6'7'' 210 21 B B- C- C C- A
Jordan Hamilton SF 21 6'7'' 210 B+ C+ C C C- B
Styro selected Jordan Hamilton with the 5th pick based on his ability to score, score and score (in college that is). His transition to the pros has been a pretty good one, he has seen the majority of his time off the bench backing up Ronnie Brewer . When given minutes, Hamilton has shown he is a scoring threat, scoring at will and in limited minutes. He is averaging 9 pts, 3rebs and 1 asst behind 23 mins a game. Considered a reach at 5, the Cavs gm has shown a lot of faith in Hamilton and if this kid develops, Styro will be one happy camper!!!
Best game:
Day 23 vs Hawks: 27 mins, 23 pts (10-15), 7 rebs, 3 assts, 1 stl, 1 blk
Worst game:
Day 7 vs Pistons: 13 mins, 2 pts(1-5 ), 2 fouls, 2 stls..
6 - Milwaukee Bucks -
Travis Leslie SG 6'4'' 202 21 B C- D+ B+ C+ A
Travis Leslie SG 21 6'4'' 202 B+ C D+ A- C+ A
Milwaukee Bucks were excited at Travis Leslie falling to him. He made an instant impact with significant improvements in his scoring and def through TC and upgrades. Kru was excited with the signing of Leslie and his excitement is justified. The main talking points about Leslie was his def, and he hasn’t disappointed, at 6’4” he is playing SF and averaging 1.4 steals and 1.3 blocks a game. He has shown a very nice scoring touch and looks after the ball pretty well given his D+ handle rating. Looking at his box scores this kid can definitely do it all.
Best game:
Day 14 vs Cavs: 37 mins, 19 pts(7-12), 7 rebs, 2 stls, 2 blks, 0 TOs
Worst game:
Day 31 vs Suns : 33 mins, 9 pts (3-8), 4 fouls, 1 turnover, 1 asst
7 - Atlanta Hawks -
Brandon Knight PG 6'3'' 185 20 C+ C+ B- B- C- A
Brandon Knight PG 20 6'3'' 185 C+ B- B B- C A
Brandon Knight was drafted 7th by the Hawks and was touted as their starting PG for the future. His hopes were dashed when the Hawks signed Deshawn Stevenson during the FA period, effectively ending his career in Atlanta before it began lol. He has found himself as a 3rd string PG behind Stevenson and Jennings, however, Jennings has been traded to Dallas and Knight could see more playing time. He did have a sim where he was played at Center and did pretty well, he logged in 30 mins in a win over the Raptors with 9 pts, 8 rebs and 4 assts!!
Best game:
Day 26 vs Raptors, 30 mins 9 pts (4-8 shooting), 5 rebs, 4 assts at the C position
Worst game:
Day 32 vs Celtics, 3 mins, 0 pts (0-2) shooting 1 stl.
8 - Milwaukee Bucks -
John Henson PF 6'10'' 200 20 B- C- C- B- C+ A
John Henson PF 20 6'10'' 200 B- C- D+ B- C B
Henson was drafted 8th overall by the Bucks and has seen his playing time on this young roster drop. He started the season as the 2nd string C / PF but has since been dropped to 3rd string in favor of Kyle Singler. I guess the Bucks GM sees more quality in Singler than John Henson. His time has dropped considerably and so has his confidence, when asked about this he was quoted as saying “ Im just finding the transition tough, its a lot faster and I just have to find me feet” If he wants to win his position back he needs to find his feet fast.
Best game:
Day 10 vs Celtics: 28 mins 15 pts (6-7), 3 rebs, 4 stls, 2 blks
Worst game:
Day 14 vs Cavs: 21 mins 0 pts (0-2) 3 rebs, 2 fouls, 1 turnover,
9 - Houston Rockets (Traded to the Lakers)-
Soloman Alabi C 7'1'' 251 23 C+ D+ D- B C+ B
Soloman Alabi C 23 7'1'' 251 C+ D+ D B- B- C
Soloman Alabi was drafted 9th overall by the Rockets but traded before opening day along with to the Rockets for C Soloman Alabi , PF Charlie Villanueva, PG Armon Johnson, PF Patrick Patterson and PF Jorge Dickerson to the Lakers for Ray Allen. Since arriving in LA, Alabi has been the starting Center and has had a stellar if not spectacular start to his career. He has been averaging 25+ mins a game with 6 pts, 8 reb and 1 block on 36% shooting. Things looked grim when Pau Gasol was brought into the squad, but that didn’t last long, Gasol was traded to the Warriors for cap relief.
Best game:
Day 38 vs Twolves : 36 mins, 17 pts (6-12), 12 rebs, 2 stls, 2 blks
Worst game:
Day 19 vs Spurs: 31 mins, 1 pts(0-2), 4 fouls, 1 TO
10 - Charlotte Hornets -
Kemba Walker PG 6'0'' 180 21 C B B+ C+ D B
Kemba Walker PG 21 6'0'' 180 C B B+ C+ D B
Recent draft reviews had this pick as a nice safe selection for the Hornets. Rondo has not panned out as they would have liked and Kemba Walker was picked to compete with Rondo for the starters position. He stayed the same coming out of TCs so Rondo was given the keys to the car, 10 days into the season, Kemba stole the keys to the car and has been driving ever since. He has been solid for the Hornets, hes not as good defensively as Rondo is but he looks after the ball and looks to get his players involved.
Best game:
Day 11 vs Bulls: 34 mins, 15 pts (7-12), 10 asst, 3 rebs
Worst game:
Day 34 vs Pacers : 30 mins, 5 pts(1-10), 3 turnovers, 6 assts.
11 - New York Knicks -
Greg Smith C 6'11'' 250 20 B D D C+ C A
Greg Smith C 20 6'11'' 250 B+ D D+ C+ C A
The 2nd of the Knicks 6 draft picks, Greg Smith is a guy loaded with potential and has a nice scoring touch inside. The Knicks have been primarily using him off the bench as a back up to the 33 year old Jamal Magloire. If he plays his cards right he could become the Knicks starting C next season should he improve and Magloire decides to retire. He has already had a 23 point game this season and will probably be a go to guy inside.
Best game:
Day 15 vs Raptors: 18 mins, 20 pts (9-10), 7 rebs, 5assts, 0 TOs
Worst game:
Day 38 vs Heat: 20 mins, 3 pts (1-7), 5 rebs, 3 fouls, 2 TOs
12 - Dallas Mavericks -
Terrico White SG 6'5'' 211 21 B B C C C- B
Terrico White SG 21 6'5'' 211 B B+ C C C- B
Terrico White was a late entry into the draft and that messed with a few of the GMs draft lists, but for the Mavericks it was a nice pick up. The Mavs were looking for a scorer on draft day and found probably the best scorer in the draft. This was evident after his 1st game of his UOSLR career where he played 33 mins, shot 12-20 from the field and ended up with 27 pts, 4 asst and 2 steals. Things look great for this kid, hes led the team in scoring on many occasions and plays SG and SF equally well. What for him Kobe?
Best game:
Day 40 vs Pistons, 31 mins, 27 pts (12-19), 6 rebs, 2 stls.
Worst game:
Day 10 vs Raptors, 29mins, 9 pts (4-9), 4 turnovers.
13 - San Antonio Spurs -
Arnett Moultrie PF 6'11'' 220 21 B- D D+ B- C A
Arnett Moultrie PF 21 6'11'' 220 B- D C- C+ C A
This was a pick made by Broph for Play and didnt see any objections from the Spurs GM. Moultrie was seen as a lotto pick but needed to work on his strength if he wanted to make any impact in the UOSLR. However Moultrie has struggled to break into the Spurs playing roster and hasnt played 1 minute this season. Look for him to be playing on another team come next season...
Best game: N/A
Worst game: N/A
14 - Washington Bullets -
Durrell Summers SG 21 6'5'' 186 B- B- D+ C+ D C
Durrell Summers SG 6'5'' 186 21 B- C+ D+ C+ D B
Durrell Summers was drafted by the Bullets due to the fact that he excelled in his rookie workouts and they decided to take a punt on the rookie out of Michigan State. Don has invested some of his reward points in Summers in the hope the rookie becomes a solid UOSLR player. The Bullets are in a rebuilding phase and this has enabled them to start Summers at the SG position showing them his wares...In 27 mins hes averaging 14 pts, 3 rebs and 1.5 assts whilst shooting 47% from the field. He could do well to work on his FT shooting though.
Best game:
Day 30 vs Cavs, 31mins, 30pts (13-20), 4 rebs, 4 assts, 3 stls, 0 TOs
Worst game:
Day 12 vs Nets, 23 mins, 0 pts (0-5), 2 Turnovers.
15 - Boston Celtics -
Alec Burks SG 6'6'' 185 20 C+ B- C- B- D+ D
Alec Burks SG 20 6'6'' 190 B- B C- B C- B
Alec Burks was selected by the Celtics at 15 and had a very nice TC. The Celtics GM was away for the beginning of the season and Burks was started at SF during this time. He looked to have struggled during that time but since IB4s return,he has been moved to SG and the Celtics 2nd option. He has had a less than spectacular start to his career but from what I have seen he looks to be a major part of the Celtics future. But just recently IB4 was quoted as saying “Alec Burks is just not simming very well, very disappointed with that, could by my DC”.
Best game:
Day 38 vs Kings, 32 mins, 15 pts (5-11), 2-3 3pts, 7 rebs, 3assts, 2stls
Worst game:
Day 9 vs Heat, 35 mins, 0 pts (0-5), 3 fouls, 2 turnovers, 1 reb
16 - Milwaukee Bucks -
Jimmer Fredette PG 6'2'' 195 22 C+ A- B- C D B
Jimmer Fredette PG 22 6'2'' 195 C+ A C+ C D- B
Jimmer Fredette was seen as a nice pick up for Kru and his Bucks at 16. At the time of picking everyone who was there (Jedi, Broph, Deebs and Kobe) thought this was a solid pick for the Bucks. He had a disappointing TC but Kru has seen something in Jimmer that makes him want to give him a chance. He started off the season as the 3rd string PG but has since been elevated to 2nd string PG and SG because of his scoring ability.
Best game:
Day 39 vs Bullets, 30 mins, 20 pts (9-11), 2-4 3pt, 3 rebs, 2 assts
Worst game:
Day 18 vs Bulls, 21 mins, 2 pts (1-3), 1 asst, 3 rebs, 2 fouls, 2 TOs
17 - Milwaukee Bucks -
Kyle Singler SF 6'9'' 210 23 C A- C- C+ C+ B
Kyle Singler SF 23 6'9'' 210 C A- C B- C+ B
Next on Krus list was Kyle Singler, this also got the thumbs up from GMs at the draft. Singler improved his def and handling after TC and showed enough improvement to unseat Henson as a 2nd string SF/PF/C for the rebuilding Bucks. There were heated discussions over Singlers defensive ability heading into the draft, his performances this year for the Bucks have been solid quite solid and have seen him elevated to 2nd string SF/PF/C.
Best game:
Day 34 vs Celtics, 33mins, 10pts, 10 rebs, 2 assts and 5 stls.
Worst game:
Day 8 vs Mavs, 14 mins, 0 pts (0-2), 4 rebs, 1 stl
18 - Phoenix Suns -
Jeffery Taylor SF 6'7'' 200 22 C+ C+ D+ A- C B
Jeffery Taylor SF 22 6'7'' 200 C+ C+ D+ A- C A
Jeffery Taylor was picked by the Suns, he didnt improve in Training Camps but he did show he had some potential in his game that shouldnt go unnoticed. Its a pity he got drafted by the Suns, who boast 2 of the better SFs in the league. Taylor has been placed as the 3rd string SG/SF behind Lewis, Odom and Planninic seeing little to no playing time at all. He has been asking for a trade but has been told to shut up and keep his head down.
Best game:
Day 20 vs Magic: 4 mins, 2 pts (1-1) 2 assts, 2 stls
Worst game:
Day 11 vs Pacers: 5 mins, 0 pts, 1 TO
19 - Orlando Magic -
Wesley Witherspoon SF 6'8'' 185 21 C B+ D B+ C B
Wesley Witherspoon SG 21 6'8'' 190 C B+ D- B- C A
Up next is Wesley Witherspoon out of Memphis and stuck behind a star studded back court. Noted as an above average shooter and decent defender. He was moved to the unfamiliar spot of SG by the Magic but has been put back to SF with the recent acquisition of Jameer Nelson. Theres no time for this youngster to develop on a team that has win now talent on it. He playing time has been limited but the Magic see enough pot in him to keep him as Andre Iguodalas understudy.
Best game:
Day 6 vs Bucks, 12 mins, 6 pts (2-2), 4 rebs 0 TOs
Worst game:
Day 2 vs Hornets, 10 mins, 0 pts, 1 foul, 1 TO
20 - New Jersey Nets -
Malcolm Lee SG 6'5'' 190 21 C+ C+ B- B- D B
Malcolm Lee PG 21 6'5'' 190 C+ C+ B- B- D+ C
(Traded to the Mavs for salary cap space)
Malcolm Lee was drafted by the Nets as a SG and was moved to PG. He had a mixed training camp, improving his rebounding but staying the same in areas his position needed improving. He was 2nd string PG for most of his stay in New Jersey. He was then traded to the Mavs and is the back up behind Marcus Williams. His minutes have increased in Dallas and he has shown glimpses of what he can bring to the table.
Best game:
Day 32 vs Jazz, 20 mins, 18 pts (8-12), 5 assts, 2 rebs, 1 TO
Worst game:
Day 45 vs Grizzlies, 17 mins, 2 pts (1-7) 3 rebs, 1 asst, 1 TO
21 - Los Angeles Lakers -
Luke Babbitt PF 6'9'' 225 22 B- B- D+ C B- B
Luke Babbitt SF 22 6'9'' 225 B- B- D C+ B- B
Luke Babbitt was taken next in line and moved to SF because of his ability to score inside and outside. He has started since day 1 and has put up solid numbers for the Lakers. He has been averaging 28 mins a game and had returns of 8 pts and 7 rebs a game. If he continues to develop he could be a nice pick up for the Lakers at 21. He has some competition with Julius Hodge looking at unseating him as no 1 SF in LA.
Best game:
Day 45 vs the Wolves: 37 mins, 24 pts (9-13), 100% FT, 3pt, 7 rebs, 4 assts
Worst game:
Day 23 vs Sonics: 26 mins, 2 pts(1-4), 5 fouls, 1 asst, 5 rebs
22 - New York Knicks -
Elias Harris SF 6'7'' 220 22 B- C+ D C+ C+ B
Elias Harris SF 22 6'7'' 220 C+ C+ D C+ B- A
Elias Harris was taken by the Knicks, notes on this player were that he should be a solid player and a great athlete, for the Knicks this was a no brainer. He can play inside and outside and has the potential to improve on his ratings. The Knicks have been playing him at 3rd string SG and SF. The Knicks have strength at those positions so its going to be tough for Elias to break throught. Hes only managed 7 games this year and those returns have not been ones to remember.
Best game:
Day 31 vs Magic, 5 mins, 2 pts (1-1), 3 rebs , 0 TOs
Worst game:
The other 6 lol
23 - New York Knicks -
Ryan Richards C 6'10'' 225 20 C+ C- D+ C+ C+ A
Ryan Richards C 20 6'10'' 225 B- C- D B- C+ A
Hello Ryan Richards, DB made out pretty good with this pick, as Richards improved his inside scoring, handles and def. He is very raw and that has seen him struggle to find playing time behind fellow 1st round pick Greg Smith and Chuck Hayes. I believe if given a chance, he could be a solid player.
Best game:
Day 24 vs Lakers, 24 mins, 10pts (4-9), 7rebs, 2 blks,1 asst, 1 stl
Worst game:
Day 41 vs Nuggets, 1 min and nothing to show for it.
24 - Minnesota Timberwolves -
LaceDarius Dunn SG 6'4" 200 24 C+ B+ C- C+ C- B
LaceDarius Dunn SG 24 6'4'' 200 C+ B+ C B- C- C
Dunn was a BPA pick by the Wolves but has impressed Trunks with his ability to play both SG and SF.. He shoots the ball at a high percentage and keeps his turnovers down. If he can continue to improve, James Harden better watch out!!!
Best game:
Day 12 vs Kings, 25 mins, 10 pts, (5-7), 3 rebs, 2 assts, 2 stls
Worst game:
Day 32 vs Spurs, 18 mins, 2 pts (0-3), 1 stl
25 - New York Knicks -
Kalin Lucas PG 6'0'' 190 22 C C B- B- D B
Kalin Lucas PG 22 6'0'' 190 C C B- C+ D B
Had a disappointing Training Camp and has seen no playing time whatsoever for the Knicks. He has a nice rookie deal so he should take his friends somewhere nice to eat while he gets paid to train lol.

JaMychal Green PF 21 6'9'' 225 C+ D+ D+ C+ C+ C
Another Rookie who had a disappointing training camp, and that pretty much spelt the end for his rookie campaign on a team that was looking to win. No playing time thus far for Green.

Kris Joseph SF 6'7'' 207 23 B- C C- B C B
Kris Joseph SF 23 6'7'' 207 B- C+ C- B C+ B
Joseph had a farily decent training camp, improving his outside shot, and rebounding. Alas he has not been able to crack the playing roster and is doomed to be on the practice squad for the rest of the year. He has shown glimpses of what he can do in limited playing time, but its not to be for this high flying SF.
Best game:
Day 10 vs the Nets, 6 mins, 6 pts (3-3), 2 rebs, 1 asst, 1 stl

Ricky Rubio PG 21 6'4'' 190 C+ C+ A B D A
The Rubicon was drafted by the Kings in the 2009 draft. However he has only just become eligible to play in the UOSLR for this season. He has had a solid start to the season and looks like he could develop into something special. He has been averaging 30 mins a game for the Kings with with 8pts, 2 rebs, 5.8 assts, 1 stl a game. The Kings would like his TOs to come down, but that should come with time. At the time or writing this article there was turmoil in the Kings franchise, they could be without a GM, but we will see how this plays out.

Best game:

Best game:

Best game:

Arnett Moultrie PF 6'11'' 220 21 B- D D+ B- C A
Arnett Moultrie PF 21 6'11'' 220 B- D C- C+ C A
This was a pick made by Broph for Play and didnt see any objections from the Spurs GM. Moultrie was seen as a lotto pick but needed to work on his strength if he wanted to make any impact in the UOSLR. However Moultrie has struggled to break into the Spurs playing roster and hasnt played 1 minute this season. Look for him to be playing on another team come next season...

Malcolm Lee PG 21 6'5'' 190 C+ C+ B- B- D+ C

Malcolm Lee was drafted by the Nets as a SG and was moved to PG. He had a mixed training camp, improving his rebounding but staying the same in areas his position needed improving. He was 2nd string PG for most of his stay in New Jersey. He was then traded to the Mavs and is the back up behind Marcus Williams. His minutes have increased in Dallas and he has shown glimpses of what he can bring to the table.
