Magic Trade: Andrew Bynum
Rockets Trade: Louis Williams Vassilis Spanoulis Sonics 2017 1st round pick
(I added Vassilis as the cap filler, assumed he would be no problem as he has only played 5 games this yr. If you want to replace him with someone else, thats fine.
I dont love Louis Williams, but I now have Samb/Sene at C and can at least experiment with a different lineup

Bad contract for bad contract, but at least the Magic get a 1st out of it

For real?
Why would anyone give up a first round pick for Bynum? If anything you should get a first for Williams here. I thought my offer for Williams was much better than this.

in case bronson doesnt sign on before the sim ... here is the pm.
"Well, if you want, ducky signed off on the Bynum/Williams/1st deal so I'll do it if you want.
Your choice of Spurs 1st this year, Sonics 1st 16 or Sonics 17."

Agree.
We're light on bigs and I always thought a good post setup is important. Whether that matters in FBB we'll see. Williams also makes 12.8 mil the same time Bynum drops to 9 mil so with a 2017 1st (expected to be late), we probably save 5 mil plus that year.

DeAndre Jordan>>>Bynum IMO. That doesn't really apply to this trade though although I kind of disagree. I can only make my decisions based on the numbers since my history here isn't of much length. Bynum is averaging nearly 12 and 11 with 2.3 blocks in his first 6 games with us. Jordan career24.2 minutes 6.0 points 7.8 rebounds 1.2 assists 0.7 steals 1.5 blocks 1.1 turnovers 0.417 field goal % Bynum career29.5 minutes 12.7 points 9.0 rebounds 1.3 assists 0.7 steals 1.4 blocks 1.3 turnovers 0.425 field goal % I don't see much between them really taking into account minutes played unless I'm not looking at the numbers right? DeAndre was traded because Noah could replace him and I got some extra picks. Had some spare time at work and crunched their numbers before and after the trade. Jordan with Rockets25 games (11-14 record) 30.7 minutes 7.6 points 10.9 rebounds 1.3 assists 0.8 steals 2.5 blocks 1.4 turnovers 3.7 fouls 0.399 field goal % Noah with Rockets22 games (14-8 record) 30.5 minutes 10.7 points 9.9 rebounds 1.5 assists 1.0 steals 2.2 blocks 1.0 turnovers 3.0 fouls 0.478 field goal % Just to compare Jordan with Sonics39 games (27-12 record) 29.8 minutes 7.8 points 10.3 rebounds 1.1 assists 0.8 steals 2.3 blocks 1.4 turnovers 3.1 fouls 0.446 field goal % Jordan wasn't/isn't that great IMO. Noah replaced him and exceeded him in certain areas plus we got picks so to me, it's kind of like we got Bynum and retained Jordan in the form of Noah. Williams is a turnover machine. I couldn't use him. Yep, bored at work so had time to crunch these
