Strengths:[/u] Amile Jefferson plays much bigger than he is on the offensive end. He is very athletic and has an array of post moves at his disposal. He was a big time scorer for Georgetown and looks to continue that pattern at the next level. He is a good rebounder who knows how to box out even stronger players. Fundamentally he is very sound on both sides of the floor and he is very quick for a big man.
Weaknesses:[/u] Despite his athleticism and length, Jefferson isn't much of a shot-blocker. He may be able to use his athleticism to his advantage on the offensive end, but he still struggles with stronger players on the defensive end. He's not a consistent shooter, so he may have some troubles at the free throw line. He doesn't do well with double teams, often being forced into making a poor decision.
Scout's Take:[/u] Amile Jefferson has a lot of heart and a lot of talent, but he will definitely need to put on some weight and bulk up for the UOSLR. He has a good work ethic and spends a lot of time sharpening his skills. Though he is an older prospect, many scouts feel his upside is still pretty high. He should be a good starter in the league, maybe an outside chance at a few All-Star Game appearances for him.
