The shit he gets here is crazy. There are a handful of GMs that post sparingly. On top of that, these GMs haven't had anywhere near the success Mike has had. Logic says that would make those guys seem a lot worse... but nope, somehow mike is the only one that gets singled out. People like to play on that "he sat on his team" shit as if he was sitting in mediocrity or something. He was winning 50+ games year in and year out for like 7-8 seasons. If he doesn't want to make a major changes to a core with that type of win percentage then so be it. I like how you all conveniently forget that Mike obtained Iverson from me and went on to win 69 games and a title that next year. It would appear he's a UOSLR vet (correct me if I'm wrong) but he doesn't get the respect of one. Funny style.

It would appear he's a UOSLR vet (correct me if I'm wrong) but he doesn't get the respect of one. Funny style. It's always harder when a nice guy gets let go. If you switch mike's persona with martinez, no one would be crying. This was play's decision, but I stand by it. Sorry mike, but your "increased" activity these past few days was hollow at best. Mike is a vet around here, but you're all fooling yourselves if you honestly believe mike has been active. His activity spurts are notorious and he'll surely be more active now that he doesn't have a team. The whole "there are a handful of other GMs..." blah blah argument doesn't mean anything. If you want to call out jah that's fine, but so far he does get on every day, and for the most part posts daily. He doesn't miss DCs or draft lists usually, and since I've come back he's done nothing wrong. Can you say the same about mike? Can you point out another person in the league who still has a job that has done something to merit being fired so far? I fired mike and play wanted to re-hire him and give him another chance. We both watched as he continued to hardly post or just post in babe of the day. Sure, his team is bad, but that doesn't mean anything. My team is utter shit in BBS, I run a league, I put a lot of work into draft files here, I work in real life 30+ hours, and I'm going to be going to school, but I am still active in BBS and post even when my team is shit. I don't go into great detail about my team, but I check and respond each sim, and most of all I participate throughout the entire league. That is what I expect of a GM. Say what you want about jah, but I've never got the feeling he doesn't pay attention. He sits on his team a lot, but he's always done that. Jah is just as much of a UOSLR vet as mike is. It comes down to the fact that mike was way too busy, and he knows it. Trying to make up posts by copy pasting box scores in individual replies is not active. So I'm done debating or replying to this topic. Play made the decision and I stand by it. Good bye mike, like I said, you can come back when you feel you can be active throughout the league. If you cannot or do not want to do that, that is fine.

Well I'm telling you right now that I would say something if you fired Marty so you're wrong to assume otherwise. He sucks and he's annoying but at he's active and there's always room for that in any league.
On the flip side, I feel there should be room for GMs that good but do not contribute much to board activity. I mean that is the reason why you've kept guys like Aar, Shaunkol and Trunks around all this time right? You singled out Jah as if that's all I had in mind. When I said a handful of GMs I wasn't being subliminal. I was being very serious. So yes, that argument does actually mean something. You can throw in iflip and yes Jah is in there as well. These guys are marginally better at best as far as activity and none of them have had the overall success Mike has had. I'm willing to bet they've all had their problems with draft lists as well. How come Mike doesn't get any leniency these guys get? Not only for being a vet, but actually being good?
As far as the DC thing, it wasn't as if Mike failed to post it intentionally. Trunks was outed for the same thing. Why isn't he being fired? He gets on the board and posts a few times and then leaves. Just. Like. Mike.
Mike has already admitted that his time is limited so I'm not arguing with any of that. I just feel he gets very disrespected here and I felt like speaking on it.
And for the record I don't actually want the guys I listed to be fired. Just making a point.

Mike has always been a pretty mediocre gm now whose activity was sub par at best. He won a championship for sticking with a team for 10 seasons. Great job you stuck with them and won. I just think people were fed up with his activity in the end, posting these ridiculous 1 post responses in sim threads and then just going in the babe thread and posting pictures. What is that? You have time to find all these girls and post their pictures but not talk about things on the boards? Weird if you ask me. It was time to move on, he just does not contribute much.

Mike has done this in every version of UOSLR....Once he gets fired he gets more active...I would love to keep Mike around if he's going to be committed to the league. Like I told Mike feel free to hop on the waiting list if he's going to step it up next time around. I have no problems with Mike...I talk to Mike more on aim than I do most GM's here.

Fire Marty IMO. He doesn't send in bids, lists, and or do dc's.
The only the he contribute to the league is getting people pissed at him.
Crazymike's success in uoslr>marty's
