There are quite a few gm's whose activity level is even or worse then crazymike.
Those gm's have also had mediocre team after mediocre team. Crazymike on the other hand has been pretty dang successful here.

It's a decent argument. Guys like Aar, Shaunkol, Jah and iflip can't find much to talk about either. They don't get pounced on like Mike does though.  go ahead and toss the cape on I'm got my cape on hard right now but not for Mike individually. It's for justice in general. I'm not defending Mike's activity. All I'm saying is if that's the reason he's fired, then these other guys got to go too (And again I don't want anyone fired) |

Mike saying there isnt much to post about is not a good argument, its easy to find stuff to post about....just post about your record, or the players, or just argue with people and tell them why they are wrong..like you do here.....hell I have stopped talking about my team, but I still get posts It's a decent argument. Guys like Aar, Shaunkol, Jah and iflip can't find much to talk about either. They don't get pounced on like Mike does though. nah, its not a good argument at all, finding stuff to talk about is easy, its being willing to find stuff to talk about that is hard. hell, I have a team with no flashy scorers, no standout players, no studly looking youth, I am tanking, but I found stuff to talk about. If you care enough its easy to find stuff, Jah is meh over here when he is in BBS, Shaun is pretty much MIA, until recently he started picking up his activity, Iflip is mediocre all around, and Aar gets a pass because he is considered to be a good gm, and because while he doesnt post he makes trades. Mike shouldnt have been the first to go, but he was, because of his reputation as a mediocre GM and poor activity. You would think people would pay attention to the fact that he won a title, and won for years, but they think he sat on his team forever...what they dont remember is that Iverson retired a bit unexpectedly, the year after Mike got him, and right after Mike won 69 games and a title, otherwise there very well could be 2 *'s next to the Clippers name. Mike didnt have HC trouble, and he made a bunch of smaller moves to try to get the right role players for a while, but it never worked, until he decided to go get AI...and he won a title. He sat on Granger, Yao, and Gilbert, but otherwise most of his players changed regularly |

Mike has always been a pretty mediocre gm now whose activity was sub par at best. He won a championship for sticking with a team for 10 seasons. Great job you stuck with them and won. I just think people were fed up with his activity in the end, posting these ridiculous 1 post responses in sim threads and then just going in the babe thread and posting pictures. What is that? You have time to find all these girls and post their pictures but not talk about things on the boards? Weird if you ask me. It was time to move on, he just does not contribute much. 9 straight seasons of 50+ wins over the last 12 years or so. One of us needs to fix our definition of mediocre. I agree those box score posts were pathetic as they almost seemed to be mocking the situation. Then again I was never defending his activity. I'm merely comparing it to the activity of others. As I stated before, there are a good amount of guys here who mirror Mike's activity. Aar (sorry to throw your name in the fire) is just about to hit 1,500 posts. He has 2 posts in the regular season discussion thread. Why no uproar over him? Yeah after what 15 seasons of being mediocre barely hitting 45 wins? Mike finally got a group of guys and stuck with them for 8-10 seasons. He did build a good group but it took him forever to actually win something. Before that nobody would have a problem firing him because he did nothing in the league expect post in the babe threads. This had to be done and it is done. There is nothing more to be said. Aar activity is shit and I am sure he would be the next to go along with Jah if they don't pick it up. People need to want to be here, sometimes life wont allow you to be. For Mike it seemed like this was just how he played the game. |

Well I'm telling you right now that I would say something if you fired Marty so you're wrong to assume otherwise. He sucks and he's annoying but at he's active and there's always room for that in any league. On the flip side, I feel there should be room for GMs that good but do not contribute much to board activity. I mean that is the reason why you've kept guys like Aar, Shaunkol and Trunks around all this time right? You singled out Jah as if that's all I had in mind. When I said a handful of GMs I wasn't being subliminal. I was being very serious. So yes, that argument does actually mean something. You can throw in iflip and yes Jah is in there as well. These guys are marginally better at best as far as activity and none of them have had the overall success Mike has had. I'm willing to bet they've all had their problems with draft lists as well. How come Mike doesn't get any leniency these guys get? Not only for being a vet, but actually being good? As far as the DC thing, it wasn't as if Mike failed to post it intentionally. Trunks was outed for the same thing. Why isn't he being fired? He gets on the board and posts a few times and then leaves. Just. Like. Mike. Mike has already admitted that his time is limited so I'm not arguing with any of that. I just feel he gets very disrespected here and I felt like speaking on it. And for the record I don't actually want the guys I listed to be fired. Just making a point. lol you've been shit too |
