Strengths:[/u] Del Cerro is an outstanding shooter from beyond the arc. He is smart with the ball and is dangerous coming off screens. On defense, he's a pitbull. Always willing to play up on his man, he uses his quick hands and feet to give his opponent fits. He runs the floor well and loves to be on the court. He is a solid rebounder in spite of his height.
Weaknesses:[/u] Del Cerro is non-existent on the inside. He shies away from contact and is solely a perimeter player. He's a terrible passer. He will get pushed around by bigger guards and won't wow anyone with his athleticism.
Scout's Take:[/u] Alvar Del Cerro is a rare player. He plays incredibly hard on both ends of the floor and is both an outside specialist and a defensive specialist. He won't make any All Star teams but he should be a very valuable starter with some proper attention.
