Strengths:[/u] Reuter is a rare scorer for his size. He has great instincts down low and is capable of scoring several different ways in the paint. He also has a very soft shooting touch with range that extends past the 3P line. He is a very quick big man capable of even keeping up with fast small forwards. He has very long arms that give his opponents a lot of trouble on the defensive end. He has also demonstrated the capability to battle with stronger power forwards.
Weaknesses:[/u] Reuter is a spotty rebounder at best. He has all the tools to be a good rebounder, but seems to lack the instinct and desire to achieve at that aspect of the game. His handles are pretty sloppy sometimes, and he has difficulty passing out of a double team. Athletic isn't a word used to describe him and sometimes he tends to float around on the perimeter rather than focus on establishing in the post.
Scout's Take:[/u] Jarred Reuter is a special talent that does not come around often. He is a big man with the talents of a shooting guard. A dynamic scorer with great size and a soft touch, Reuter has many teams excited about his future. With a great work ethic and a plethora of talent, it could only be a few years before Reuter is a top talent in the UOSLR. He has had some injuries over his college career, but nothing that ever been deemed season-ending. He should be a top pick in the draft for sure.
