It's a pick by 1998 not by 2028.. even if u were trying to be funny, it doesn't work that way.
It could be any pick between now and 98.. thats how it works.

No, by 1998 means I owe you a 1st by 1998.
If you wanted a first in the years up to 1998 you should have worded it that way.
It's not my fault you people don't know how to write.

An owed 1st by 1998. The only thing this means is that I need to give him a first by the time the year 1998 comes around. This does not have any restrictions on the year of the pick that is to be given
An owed 1st before or in-between the year 1998. This statement now implies that I owe him a first before/on 1998 and no later
You're really going to argue this really? Look at the other trade threads where people specificially bolded their wording. Not my fault you agreed to this.

Two things why it won't happen: 1) Isn't this part of the deal that doesn't work? 2) Use common sense, this isn't going to work, you can try to bend the rule on it, but it has to be between now and then, that's the implications.

Why the fuck do you think Seattle clearly bolded in his trade with you An owed 1st IN 1998 not by.

Because we had been talking about doing the BY thing, and we decided to just do one IN 98, so I asked him to bold it to make it clear that that's what I was giving him.
