Lol I'm just backing up my point and you're backing up yours. No problems here or anything, I'm just saying why I'd take Nash over Billups. Billups is not a bad player by any means, I'm just saying I'd take Nash over him and those are my reasons.

Seattle's success over the past few seasons has been riding on Nash, Webster and Barry, who, despite being average defenders at best, were top class shooters, and no matter what, they produced big time. Stick Billups in that team instead of Nash though, and I don't think they would've done nearly as well. They still wouldn't have been able to beat the Grizzlies in 7 games still (due to the lack of a frontcourt moreso than the PG), but they definitely wouldn't have been pushing for top spot out West imo. So because 3 shooters, who are built to play with Nash would not work with Billups, Nash is better? You put Nash on a team with not great offensive but very good defensive SG/SF...and Chauncey is going to be better by that philosophy, because a great defender would mesh better with the other two. Thing is though, we know just how big of a difference Billups makes, as I am only on pace for 27 wins...a difference of 28 wins from last year, and I lost nothing over last year, even adding a good defensive and rebounding Center....(well I guess I lost Michael Doleac...who knew he was so vital) Well let's look at Seattle. #2 in the West at the moment with the highest team PPG average in the league (115.6ppg). Bryant Reeves is their starting Center. Bryant Reeves C 28 7'0'' 302 B+ D+ F+ B C C He averages 17.1ppg in an outside shooting team that is made up of shooting specialists. Now, I don't think all his points come from put backs, as he's only getting 8.3rpg, hardly anything to shout about, esepcially with a low rebounding rating for a big. Put Chauncey on that team instead of Nash, and I can't see Reeves averaging more than around 14ppg, and the team's PPG will fall imo too. Now, I'm not denying that Chauncey Billups is a great player and has carried your team in the last few seasons, but put Nash on your team instead of Chauncey, I'd argue he'd do a similar job, if not better. Put Chauncey in Seattle though and they would do no better imo.

He may do a similar job offensively, but defensively I would be lacking big time, which is important for my team, if you look at it, I have been playing better perimeter defenders than Nash, yet my opponent FG% has shot through the roof, Last Year with Billups, and without Foyle in the post, I was one of the top defensive teams by opponent FG%, which was a big reason that I did well. This year I am at 3rd from last.

Sure, I'm not denying that Billups is a huge part of your team, and sure, his defense is a big reason why you won so many more games last season, but Nash would also win you many more games regardless of his lack of D. His offense would win you games just liek Billups's D would win games.

Yeah, maybe, however, my FG% isn't bad, I am upper half of the league, my issue is with 3 point % yes, but Chauncey shot 44.1% from three last year, and he shoots the most three's on my team. My issue however is not offense...its defense, as I have average the fourth most assists, out rebound foes, score in the upper half efficiency wise. Yes I am not a big scoring team, but thats because I play a slow pace. I don't need the assists and scoring, and yes realistically Nash's scoring and Assists might help some, but he would also give up more points than Rose/Watson, who are better defenders, leading to me having the same issue.
