There is no doubt he produces amazing stats. He scorers a ton and can dish it. However there are some teams who would not rank him as the top pg. I will take slightly less scoring and handles if I can get an upgrade at defense, such as a Billups type player. He had 2 games with 5 or more steals this past sim. Thats great, but those five steals, account for what, 4% of the opponents possessions, that isn't going to help if he gets beat ten times, I would rather shut down my opponent, and have him take a lot of shots at a low % than get a bunch of shots wide open, but turn it over a few extra times.

In that same sim, Rafer Alston had 38 points on 15 for 22 shooting, Jamal Crawford and Speedy Claxton combined for a total of 29 points on 14 for 25 shooting, Damon Stoudamire had 11 points 13 assists 8 rebounds no TO's on 3-5 shooting (obviously not asked to score much). He did lock down Randolph Childress holding him to 4-10 shooting and 9 points 5 assists 3 rebounds 5 turnovers, and Timmy Hardaway, who is on the decline, and he had 7 steals against Shammond freaking Williams, who starts for a terrible team, with no PG..then Brevin Knight and Jason Kidd went for 31 points on 11 for 22 shooting and yes he had 5 steals in this game, however Kidd and Brevin had 2 to's between them, Derrick Coleman had five, so Nash was probably getting them from him... He held his opponents to 53 for 107 shooting, not good but I guess not atrocious, until you consider that Shammond Williams went a whole 3-14...without him 50-94 from the field for opponents

A player with 100 perimeter defense is going to get torched sometimes
A player with 100 post defense is going to get torched sometimes
That shit is nice to have obviously, but at the end of the day, the extra possession is >

you said it yourself Kru, when ray Ray is an option he just clanks more shots he doesn't score more. No he doesn't nor did I ever say that. Ray is not a great distributor but he is lights out shooter with all the scorers on my team there wasn't much benefit to having him be an option.

I might slow up the tempo a bit to Normal. Ray Allen seems to get about the same production as a non option he is just a lights out shooter. Can't wait for tomorrows sim with some tweaks.

He got like 4-6 more shots a game as a non option keeping the same percentage which netted him about 4 more points per game. McDyess is a better option because he gets to the FT line more and is a pretty solid passer out of the post. Ray is all catch and shoot.
