Basone how am I overrated if no one besides Tiger put me in their top 5? I'm not sure of exact numbers either but I'm sure since joining the league my winning percentage is over .700. The Bulls have been my one and only roadblock and if I was in the West I'd be facing them in the finals every year.

Also in my run to build a championship it doesn't help that I lost Theo Ratliff, Michael Finley, and Bonzi Wells to ridiculous FA offers by other teams.

Tiger you are top 5 for all the trades you made to get a balanced team around preira. 3 champioships in this league = you're the best GM, no question. However, your success is over-rated because of the fact that you landed a player that developed freakishly (not comparable to any other player)...and you landed him for free, from FA. You didn't have to lose anything except some cap space to sign the best player in the league. Usually, to bring a player of that caliber to a team you need to make a huge trade and lose youth/picks or lose a star. Having a C's across player blow up into a player better than Michael Jordan (a.k.a. luck) is different from drafting a 'for sure' player like Shaq, who everyone knew was coming into the league. Also, being able to sign the player to a nice contract because no one else noticed his unusual size and stats is also a nice break. I gotta disagree. I mean, it's not like I signed Preira to a minimum contract and all of a sudden he developed well without me thinking he'd do so. I gave him a contrac that I thought would land him, and he developed beyond my expectations. It doesn't make me overrated. Him developing may have been luck, but then, so is Shaq being as dominant as he is. Sure, people may have expected him to do well, but that doesn't mean it'll happen. FBB's random development goes to show no matter what there's luck involved in a player's development - look at Paul Pierce... look at Wang Zhi Zhi... sure, potential behind the player will dictate development to some extent, but the rest is up to FBB. Either way, it doesn't factor into a GM being overrated just because he has a superstar player. I didn't get him for free, I got him through a rebuilding process. I mean, say I managed to land a Shaq in the year I won the draft rather than Sheed, or say a Kobe Bryant, Kevin Garnett, etc, like other #1 picks in other drafts... would my team still have been a title contender? Sure. Would yours have been a title contender if you had Sheed instead of Shaq? I dunno. Either way, I don't think you can just dismiss it based on a player's development when the rest of the pieces are there. But I appreciate you ranking me #1, just don't think Preira makes me over-rated. Yeah no problem. I think it does.

He is actually #1 imo He is, however, the most overrated because Preira makes a far greater impact on a team than any other player in the leauge. that makes absolutely no sense though... someone who is "overrated" does not get labeled as the best GM that's like two things that negate each other. How do I break it down for Marty.... 3 championships = best. However, he would not be as successful if he didn't have Preira.

I was under the impression that best and worst negate each other; people often call these relationships antonyms...
