Just because every team plays eachother one time does not mean you have a true champion. What if 3 teams finish 7-2? It has happened before. That is why they have championship games. I think the SEC, ACC, Big 12 are the major conferences that actually do have true champions.

rofl, voters dont' want to have to deal w/ "TCU beat a legit team, they deserve a share of the title." Voters don't chose the bowl games....

FedEx Orange Iowa vs. Georgia Tech
probably going to be the worst rated BCS game ever.

I think the SEC, ACC, Big 12 are the major conferences that actually do have true champions. How...in the Pac 10, every team has the same opportunity to win, every team plays the same opponents...does that lead to the occasional ties? yes...but look what happened last year in the Big 12...Oklahoma went to the conference title game, even though Oklahoma lost to Texas, and don't forget Texas Tech of course...a title game still presents the same exact problems...... cause it isn't necessarily true that the team that makes the title game is the best. At least in the Pac-10 you are guaranteed to have head to head records across the board to look at.... In the Big 12, SEC, ACC etc... in the event 3 teams finish with 2 losses, what do you do when they all lost to different teams who the others did not necessarily play.

You still play every team in your division. So there is a 50% less chance to have the tie matter.

It won't make a difference on the ties...at all You still face the same issues, but, in this case you have to arbitrarily decide who should go to a conference title game. In the Pac-10 its very easy, we don't try to decide who the best team was, if three teams go 8-1 in conference with losses only to each other...they are co champions...they earned it they deserve it, and there is no true way to decide who is the best. However, yeah, they still have to decide who goes to the Rose Bowl, etc...but, we don't try to decide that Oklahoma deserves a conference title shot over Texas because even though Texas beat Oklahoma, Texas lost later in the season to Texas Tech and Oklahoma beat them, so therefore Oklahoma is better...even though Texas won on a neutral field

They should have put TCU vs. Ga Tech. And Boise St. vs Iowa. Florida vs. Cinci should be a good game.

Yeah, pretty damned shitty (in terms of popularity) teams made the BCS this year..Iowa, Georgia Tech, Boise State, TCU, Cincy. I mean, not to be a homer, but Oregon Ohio State very well could be the most watched Bowl outside the BCS title game. At least it has some intrigue. Florida Cincy just isn't an exciting ratings powerhouse. Oregon Ohio State is definitely the third best of the BCS games, if not second though.
