tcu vs bsu is so gay. We've already seen that...

Florida had two national title game appearances in the 15 year span too....winning one, and would have undergone a popularity spike right after those games too, so meh. yeah Florida has increased in popularity, but if anyone is counting on a game with Cincinatti to have huge ratings...well...not gonna happen. This has nothing to do with the quality of the matchup, hell the Georgia Tech-Iowa game could be amazing, but matchup wise it is shit Tebow has made the Florida fans grow 100 fold. using data from 2005 when Tebow was still in high school kinda make the data no usable.

Gerhart deserved it more.
Ingram only won because he's from the SEC and his team is in the championship game. Had they lost to Florida, no way he wins IMO.

styro, yea I was thinking that was the year they won it all for some reason. spirit, we smoked Baylor and Michigan. And this thread isn't about bball... ducky and don, it was the closest race in history, he almost won it. Ingram's team record probably did give him the edge. But Pac-10 defense isn't the same as SEC defense and Ingram had about 60 less carries and only about 200 less yards.

SEC defenses are not better...
They just have sorry offenses to make them look good.

He also had 11 less touchdowns than Gerhart.
Team record should have no weight in deciding who gets the heisman. It should be the statistics that the player puts up.
The wikipedia page says the following: "Awarded for The person voted to be the most outstanding player in collegiate football but is actually awarded to the MVP of a top rated team."

SEC defenses are not better... They just have sorry offenses to make them look good. Want to try again? The Pac 10 had the following breakdown of total points scored: 3 at 30 or more 6 at 20 or more 1 at 10+ SEC had: 6 at 30 or more 5 at 20 or more 1 at 15+
