Basketball rule question

If you're about to inbounds the ball, instead of passing it, can you shoot? And is it good if it goes?

I'm guessing no, but just wanted to know for sure if you could or not.

99% sure unless it touches a player that is inbounds first it would be a turnover

THE THROW-IN. Any player of the team in control may make the throw-in. Only a designated thrower-in may be out of bounds. The player making the throw-in has five seconds to release the ball to a player inbounds. The thrower-in cannot leave the designated area nor score a field goal from out of bounds, and opponents are restrained from harassing the effort by being required not to cross the out-of-bounds boundary or its vertical plane.

From the sideline, yes. If your talking about, someone picking it up during play and throwing it, then no.

But from the sideline, yes.

and if you want to be technical about it a throw-in is a method of restarting play and therefore a goal cannot be directly scored from a throw-in.

just one example out of many, you obviously don't know that much about soccer. No one ever does it, cuz it's basically impossible. But it's not against the rules.

Law 15 of FIFA.
A throw-in is a method of restarting play.
A goal cannot be scored directly from a throw-in.

A throw-in is awarded:
when the whole of the ball passes over the touch line, either on the ground or in the air;
from the point where it crossed the touch line;
to the opponents of the player who last touched the ball.
