Since when does the projected #1 mean anything? 25% chance of getting #1 compared to 75% chance of getting something else. And a 25% chance of getting #4, to be honest. And look at what's happened so far in this league: #12 getting #2, #1 getting shafted twice. #5 and #6 getting #1 and #2. I'm not saying that it's bound to happen again, but trading for these picks are such crap shoots with the lotto. That's all. If he gets Shaq with this pick, more power to him, but I'd still say that for all intensive purposes, unless that happens, then, well, yeah. I know percentages too. What do you think the odds of both your 1sts not only being lotto, but also netting him stars, all while Sprewell turns around his franchise in a few years are? Which do you think is better?

Probably the Spreewell one, to be honest. Because, frankly, some people here know me, and can vouch and attest to some of the attempts I've made that have been terrible tries (anyone in NDSL, speak up. Oh, and Ducky, ABCA, me with Dallas. You were there). ;D

For all intents and purposes, let's consider every team on equal footing. That would give your 1sts a 13/29 chance of being a lotto pick, each. Which means about a 20% chance that both are lotto. Then factor in the odds that Sprewell becomes a superstar that can turn around a franchise in a sooner rather than later time span. What would you put those at? Would you be so bold as to say 50%? Even if you would, that's a total of 10%, and that's being generous and without considering outside factors. Do you honestly favor those chances? Especially when the content of those drafts are still in question, whereas you at least know a bit about this one.

I honestly haven't looked at the drafts I've considered trading him for that very purpose. But, are you saying you're approving this? Because, after telling Ducky the trade, he was pretty much opposed to it. As is DB.

Plus, you gotta remember: I was giving all of that up for JUST NIQUE. He's getting his first for PIERCE AND NIQUE. That's two pretty good players compared to 1 really good player.

Because, after telling Ducky the trade, he was pretty much opposed to it. As is DB. I'd absolutely approve this. The Grizzlies don't have their own picks for what, seven years? That's the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen. What better time to get your own pick back than with probably one of the greatest players coming out? Other than getting multiple young studs, a deal that I doubt was floating around out there, I see no better deal for a team in the Grizzlies shape.

Who are John Williams and David Benoit?

Williams and Benoit are so insignificant when thinking about what I could get in this year's draft....and those firsts are, like it has been stated many times already, farther ahead and not in my control. My first this year is something that i can control and can get me an elite player that will turn around my franchise.

Grizzlies good job getting you're first back and for this next draft too.
For people scared of the Hornets - would you rather them have 32 yr old Nique and 33 yr old Pierce or 21 yr old Shaq, Webber, or Penny?
This is a very fair deal - the Grizzlies will have the worst record in the league by a lot this year - because of how horrible cwizz ruined the team. They just traded an aging start for a top 3 pick in the draft.
