I don't know why people are bitching about this trade
It's a best case scenario for every team involved

since when is trading a top 3 player (or best player) for your own picks back a best case scenario? it is possible to rebuild, especially when teams with tons of youth (Spurs) are approaching their CY.

I see absolutely nothing wrong with this deal....Chipper made a block for him....Nobody offered a better deal that made sense....So chipper settled on getting his picks back. There is no reason to bash him for this trade...He did what he had to do for his franchise...
I'm wondering what other teams besides my team could have offered him a better deal?

he should have contacted you before doing this, Marty too since he has all those lottos and youth.
I don't know why he makes this deal now, his team is 2nd in the West, and Perry can win with a mediocre cast, he could have kept a mediocre cast around him through FA alone if he worked to get cap. his picks weren't something he absolutely needed back.
I mean if his team is kicking around or below .500 right now, then ok, but fuck...

whatever, he basically dug his own grave, this is why I don't think you should deal futures so far away, unless you're getting guys who will help you long term, not Emeka Okafor.

Yah I agree with him waiting too long to post this deal....This deal was basically agreed to 2 days ago but Chipper wanted to field other offers...And his team started to roll the past 2 days. I honestly had no interest in trading for Perry right now...Prefer to keep my youth.

Also, the reason it didn't happen 2 days ago is 'cause I got sick. I was fully prepared to accept a trade after the Braves game, but then I didn't get on that night 'cause I got depressed with the loss and then woke up the next morning with the flu.
To the teams I didn't contact that PMed me, I apologize, I should have gotten back to you, but the last few days were hectic, and I honestly didn't see a better situation than getting my picks back.

You still rushed into the deal. No point in making the trade now when you have the second best record in the conference. I don't see why you couldn't wait till the off-season to pul the trigger. You may have picked up better offers AND more offers from teams entering their contract year.
